“Two years ago we looked for quantity, now we want to add quality,”

“We are already competitive for the Champions League, but we’ll look for the cherry on top to touch up this fantastic squad.”
“Everyone knows the history of Juventus,” Marotta added. “In 2006 we ended up in Hell, we passed through Purgatory and now, with this Scudetto, we are back in Heaven.
“The re-birth started with the return of an Agnelli as President because behind a winning team you need a strong club.
“Boss Antonio Conte was our leader and our added value, he’s had an extraordinary campaign.
“It would be nice to celebrate the season with the Coppa Italia too. It would be the right way to crown the campaign.
“We will face this task against Napoli knowing that we will have to honour the shirt of Juventus.”
“We believe that we suffered a strong injustice and that is why we identify this title as our 30[SUP]th[/SUP],” Marotta added.
“President Andrea Agnelli knows very well what this means, but now we are only thinking about celebrating this victory which was won with transparency on the pitch.”
“The club have already expressed themselves and I don’t want to comment further on it,” the ex-Sampdoria man noted.
“Today we are celebrating the title, one which Del Piero played an important role in and we know that he is a champion who has given a lot to this club.”

This is a great opportunity for Marotta to take us from being very good to being truly GREAT. I want him to approach the next mercato with the CL trophy in mind. I want us to aspire for that trophy and I want Marotta to act accordingly in the market.

Marotta: 'No Juve bad boys'

Director Beppe Marotta looks to the future of Juventus, including Robin van Persie, Eljero Elia, Marco Borriello and “no bad boys.”

The Bianconeri are celebrating the Scudetto and already preparing for next season, which will include the Champions League.

“I haven’t slept, there is so much euphoria around us. We achieved an extraordinary target that was unthinkable at the start of the campaign,”
he told Sky Sport Italia.

“Thanks to the work of so many components we were able to make this dream come true. Antonio Conte was crucial, as we gave him the resources and he got the best out of them.

“As for the transfer market, we must point out the Scudetto arrived because this is a great team without a prima donna. We must maintain that balance, although clearly improve the overall quality of the side.

“There is talk about top players, but along with great technique you need a great person. We don’t want to dismantle what we created this year, a squad that never gave up and always worked hard. There’s no room for ‘bad boys.’”

Juve have been heavily linked with a bid for Arsenal star van Persie and Marotta does not deny their interest.

“He is among the most complete players around, but he still has a year on his contract with Arsenal and so I can only express an opinion on his qualities. I don’t feel like naming targets, as that would be unfair for their clubs and the players.

“Our option on buying Borriello from Roma expires on June 20, so we have time to discuss things. He had some initial difficulties, but recently helped us a great deal and Conte always admired him.”

Today Elia told Dutch media he wanted to leave after barely setting foot on the field for Juventus this season.

“It may seem strange, but a year to settle in was important for Elia. Serie A is different to the Bundesliga and he understood it’s another type of approach. Clearly he needs to play consistently and we are happy to help our players when they ask for that, but there won’t be any meetings until after the Coppa Italia Final.”

Some interesting things in that article. I like how he's almost childlike with excitement, like many of us I imagine.

The board seem to be doing exactly as the Agnelli's did before them, looking at the person as well as the player. So this is therefore a thinly veiled message of "fuck Balotelli"? It's up for debate about who else that would exclude.

He's aware that Van Persie has a year left on his contract, so...:klin:

Borriello is probably going to be purchased for less than the agreed fee.

The Society is fully aroused and erect. They are ready to parade the streets with one bad eye to spread the praises of their beloved demi-god

Don't know how the hell he managed to pull this off but respect.
One word:

Conte.

He seems that he knew what he was doing.

Now show us your skills and sign an Cavani!
This entire post is just :sergio:

A lot of players will be signed after the Euro 2012.
Sure, but none by Juve

Marotta: "We will only sign top players. But they must also be top professionals. Van Persie is someone we like a lot."

Oh how typical that these last 2 posts were by people who refuse to give the man any credit whatsoever.

But hey, here's an idea.

Let's hire a new sporting director so that he can dismantle everything and start another revolution.

As if 6 years of it wasn't enough.

Hiring a proper director would not dismantle everythimg.
But we could have a chance of making some profits from sales.
Stop considering that Padoin, Pazienza, Elia, Borriello and Giaccherini are quality over quantity.
Start bringing trully WC players, with all due respect to Matri, Quaq and Vucinic, they are not WC and Marotta simply cannot go beyond that class, never did in his entire carrier...

And Marotta was more of a handicap, in Conte's way, esp the winter transfer touches...

At times of winning like now people tend to give credit to pretty much "everyone" in the club.

But if we really analyzed what Marotta did in the last 2 seasons, then there are really many question marks over his transfers.

There are some positive moves from the guy (Vidal is clearly a great purchase). Pirlo and Barzagli were a huge surprise to us all (there forms was pretty average for years with their previous teams and thanks to Conte he managed to get the best out of them).

The only addition to our defense this season was Lichtsteiner yet our defense this season had been the best in Italy (we conceded just 19 goals) while that same defense line was pretty bad last season and we conceded 47 goals.

Non of our attackers managed to be even among the top 10 goal-scorers in the league though they've cost us 48 millions (to buy the 3 of them). Don't get me wrong I like them all but still the numbers are pretty alarming !!

We've spent 38 mil euros to buy Krasic, Martinez and Elia yet non made an impact in this club.

Bottom line is, if not for "Conte" we could've easily had another average season this year too. But the man literary made a miracle by creating a team that works Soo Hard to help each other.

^^^ the only question mark there should be for you is if his moves on the market brought us the scudetto. And yes, the moves on the market include the hiring of Conte.

I agree, Marotta never managed to bring a world class player to the mighty Sampdoria and CL-less Juve. fuck Marotta.

I am still not convinced by him. Conte worked miracles with a squad which ranks pretty low in terms of quality, compared to previous Juventus title winning sides. I'm not undermining the work done by Marotta (he does indeed deserve some praise), but I also refuse to go overboard in praising his "accomplishments."
