No one can replace Pirlo, just like no one could replace Nedved or Davids or ZZ.
These players are unique. For depth we have 5 CMs for 2 positions.
Enough to loan out Melo, so we should not bother with CMs anymore, since we have decided that we have more than enough, unless its a De Rossi like option.
we have a midfield consisting of

two box to box players, one domminating and physically imposing(vidal), and one technically imposing(marchisio)
one regista that controls the pace of the game

we can replace our b2b players with pazienza or even pepe, the latter less effective

however, we have totally no replacement for a regista type of player

since thats an essential part of our system, adding monty and rotating him with pirlo to keep both fresh and eager, would be very good to our squad.

Except that we are taking a step backwards if we get Mont Elivio

I'd rather use Appelt/Marrone in the "easier games" than waste the payroll on Monty I think. Use the money that we would use to pay his ass and bring a guaranteed starter that makes us a better team.

Yes, me too. We should actually start introducing them to the bench.

Or bring DDR from Roma if he is available :)

Man, DDR for free would be sick.
That would be ace.

We are allowed to speak with DDR after 1st January, if he doesn't sign the new contract till then.
Then we should do it.

Maybe Boriello is a smokescreen for DDR. :seven:

We really should. You know we won't be the only team thinking the same thing. I just think he is ready for a move, I think he might look back at Totti's experience staying for the love verus actually having a chance to prove your worth and win something somewhere else. Roma won't win, not for a long time anyways.

Make a move him at least enquire. :)
