How many of Marotta's signings were talents let alone players under 23 years old? And how many of them are playing a big part in our team? I can think of Bonucci and Vidal, yeah, I guess thats it. I feel like most of his signings are players closer to 30.
Aside from Sørensen, most of the rest are youth team players that haven't got called to the first team. Dirt cheap talents that have been scouted.

Branescu, Appelt, Appelt, Magnusson, Pol Garcia, Simunac, Gouano from a brief search.

Our wings are a HUGE problem.
Are they? Prior to the Genoa game Pepe was mostly getting praises, and we've barely seen enough of Estigarribia and Elia to properly determine their quality. Giaccherini has been alright.

Krasic is the big problem, it's the loss of such an effective player from last season into a player that barely resembles what he used to offer the team.

Pepe was getting praises only because he was playing better than the others. That should be a red flag.

So far, we have done nothing in terms if delivering good balls into the box from the wings. To date, our wings have been counterproductive. Of course we have Elia/Esti but we aren't really using them yet consistently. We have seen Pepe start as LM, Krasic as RM and Giach come in for Krasic with Pepe going to RM. Giach has been alright, but not setting the left side on fire. In a formation that depends heavily on wingers, one might think we would see much more production from the sides, but we aren't. Not even close.

We brought Giach, Esti & Elia to improve our wings. So far, we have been stuck with Krasic & Pepe. We have talent, we just aren't using the creative players which is frustrating, that's what I am talking about. I know the E's are good but we haven't really used them. As a result, our wings have been pretty darn lame if you ask me.

Start playing Elia or Esti more, and you might start seeing a big difference.

He was actually performing relatively well though, and the others weren't exactly bad aside from Milos.

I'll give you that the Chievo match was quite useless for service from the wings, but most of the matches aside from the Catania game has featured a useless Krasic and a quite decent Pepe.

I'll maintain that I'd like to see more from the newest three wingers still, especially the one that we've invested the most in.

So we have a huge problem if none of the investments turn out to be any good.

I though Estigarribia was alright yesterday, showed signs of having crossing ability and good work rate.

Sorry Suns, when you start talking about Roma and Sabatini I just switch off, it's boring, it's 7 games in and we are above a Roma who looked pretty dire 1 week ago.

I wouldn't like to see a team of kids playing for Juventus. Roma players don't even have it close when it comes to pressure. They don't have a clue, not a clue. Roma are allowing themselves time. You want this philosophy. Yet 7 games in and you are whining about how the world is falling apart. Get a grip. Fans wouldn't allow Juventus to have this philosophy and you know it. Results.

'Oh it's ok boys, we are in 6th/7th again, but look at our nice young players who might come good next season'. Pfft. Results. Now. When you understand that then you see why our various directors go for experienced players. However, I don't agree that the players Marotta has bought are too old. I'm not going to sit here, AGAIN, and go through the various circumstances under which we bought the likes of Toni or Barzagli but we do not have an old team, it's around 26-27 overall.
Quoted for the fucking truth.

The funny thing is that Roma have been total shit. Their defence is a bigger mess than ours. Thanks to Stekelenburg they managed 3 pts against Palermo. Anyone who saw the match can confirm. Palermo were very unlucky.

They are a huge problem now, but might not be a problem at all next week. Stay tuned.
It will remain a problem when Elia does not get playing time and Pepe keeps making the pitch. I gave Pepe praise when he played well the past games but it was sooner or later his true self to be exposed.

I can't believe Stekelenburg went to fucking Roma. Not that I wanted him here, but I feel like he deserves a much better team than that.

Who cares how they are doing right now? Its the philosophy and the kind of players they aim to sign that I like. Don't tell me you wouldn't have loved it if Marotta had signed Lamela, Pjanic, Angel etc.

I like Lichtsteiner, Vidal and Pirlo more than Pjanic, Lamela and Angel.

If we were in Roma's situation we would have bunch of bitching here about sucking ass.

Now - There has been said that Roma will finish above us this season. Lets just wait and see.
