As the transfer window is about to get close and the delusion tart to dissipate, it becomes more evident that i was right about my early judgement on this transfer market.
That was a logical conclusion every one could draw, judging by Marotta's last year work and the typical errors (Ital-Juve, keep buying new CMs and SSs every year, not invest decent amounts on defenders, not setting the right priorities to a competitive roster, accept compromises, buy players we dont need, as long as they aspire the Italian fans, etc etc)
our board has imposed to each and every director and coach since calciopoli...

What i want to remind now, is that this year's failure are not going to undermine this year's efforts alone, by any chances we had to build a competitive team, for the 2012-2013 as well, so here's hoping for 2013-2014 season, coming sept... and remember what the Inter's fans were always saying; there is always next year...

A very good friend of mine from Firenze, who has his sources, tells me that Marotta agreed to Corvino's wish of giving Viola Quagliarella PLUS money for Vargas. Which is insane. The deal did not go through because Conte wants to keep Quagliarella. He also informs me of rumours that Conte and Marotta does not have a good relationship at the moment. Conte is not a yesman, he has clear ideas and want to win. Marotta is only able to give him lesser "copies" of the players he has asked for.

Whether or not there's any truth to this, who knows. But for those of you who may find it interesting, there it is.
We should just get rid of the DS and do it like in England.

Theres no harm in DS, providing the coach is the one who picks and makes the choices. The DS could be just the one who does the negotiation, paperwork and smiles in the photographs. In other words work under conte but still have the fancy DS title.

Morotta's work so far has been very poor, and I cant believe its the 17th August and we still haven't got a single left winger in our whole 1st team squad. His neglect of our most gapingly obvious hole is just inexplicable. We should have signed 2 LW's already let alone one, yet we are still not being significantly linked with anyone at all... Vargas rumours have been floating around for the best part of a month and there has been no progress, Bastos is clearly not going to happen, now we have new rumours of Perotti, Ramirez and Carlos Eduardo - players that are not even going to get close to making us competitive...

His moves elsewhere have been positive, but I'm actually getting really worried that we have had no real attention paid to arguably our most vulnerable position at the end of last season (considering we have no natural LW's) and its getting late in the window now. This team should have been settled and complete at the start of august...
