Exactly the opposite.

Forget about your past and get rid of your legends who care and give their all to the club they've been part of for near a decade and you end up having no identity, no real future and players who don't know what Juventus means.
Don't forget that very few Juventus legends have had the chance to finish their career with us.

Especially during Moggi's years, players were either sold in their prime or their contracts not extended.

As the season now comes to end, it is now safe to draw some conclusions.
The policy of bringing a large batch of mediocre Italian players has failed! Miserably!

Lets try to minimize damages and cut ties with everything that has been holding us back.
Pepe and Motta should go, but only if we secure someone else at least as reliable or more.

I would prefer us to invest on someone more reliable and with better prospects, than Quaqs, but it seems that we are now a very very small club to do any better (and sign the likes of Rossi, Cassano, etc) and considering the huuuuuge amount we already paid for quaqs (esp considering that he only paid half of the season.I guess we will keep him for depth (when he is not injured, he will be a starter) but at this case, we should bring Giovinco back, as its nearly impossible to sign someone of his value and keep quaqs as well.

As for matri, i think that we will make the compromise and overpay just like we did, with Bonucci.
Neither of them, will ever grow to their 18-22mil tag we paid for them.
But as we cant compete with AA teams and top material like Ranochia, Cassano and Pazzini, would rather being a sub to the top fly Milan teams, rather than being a starter to this mid table Juve, i guess we have no other option and accept the compromise...

Barzagli is going to be the new Legro and nothing can change that.
Hopefully, we will get rid of one between Toni and Iaq.
But where we should really invest, is the wingbacks, esp the LB and the LW
Motta (or grygera) and Grosso should be kicked out, Traore as well, and someone way better than DC should be acquaired.

I expect a 18mil investment on LM and 12 mil on LB.
these are our priorities and should focus 80% of our time and efforts on them.
As Marchisio and Melo will be our starters, we should rather keep Aquilani for depth, as we cant get anyone to fit this profile for 16 mil (Young, Italian, CM, not quite reliable but still quality player at his good days and decent sub)

So in order to get a LB+LW+keep Matri+quaqs+aquilani+recall Giovinco, we are destined to invest about 75mil, we will chop this sum my the usual sell of players like (Amauri, Tiago, Almiron etc)
This is best case scenario, and yet and it still lets a lot to be desired, in such a dead end we have reached, due to marotta's policies...
So even if sign a proper coach (highly unlikely) we will still have to sacrifice next year as well... (because with starters like MAtri, quaqs, Bonucci and Aquilani, one can only reach that far
and to forfeit them, we need to waste a huge amount of money we dont have)

Camo? Please... do you think he would have started ahead of krasic and revolutionised our season? Errrr NO!!

Trez's departure was sad, but he was on big wages. The issue is his replacement was non existant. Clinging onto players from the past is the wrong way to build for the future.
That's true, but when you want to replace aging players you don't replace them with other aging players.
Toni, Barza etc....

Supporter or apologist?
Completely an apologist!

Yeah, we should have cashed on everyone once we went to Seria B. I mean we could have made millions and then buy dozens of Almirons, Tiagos, Amauris ... or just loan them with the option to buy them or just pay half the price as a loan fee anyway.
Why does this crazy Fergie still keeps Giggs and Scholes, not to mention Edwin-40-year-old-Saar in his team? Given his abundance of resources he must be mad, right?
Camo might not have started in front of Krasic and sure as hell wouldn't have been the difference, but he wouldn't have been much worse than Pepe. And certainly he wouldn't have been more expensive. Trez saga is stupid and sad, but Toni's arrival makes Marotta a close relative of Borat.
That's not what I said, the time was right for them to move on but the actions we took to replace them were insufficient.

Exactly the opposite.

As above.

Exactly, you have to invest wisely, which we didn't. Martinez for 12m was an aberration, as was pepe. Let's hope his mistakes have served to teach him something.

Ok, mate.

Now I see what you meant, although I just can't agree with anyone who says that Trez had to leave last summer and approves Marotta's actions.
I'm with you there. Trez should still be here, keeping amauri and shipping Trez out was complete nonsense, it should have been the other way around. Marrotta shot himself in the foot with that decision.

As the season comes to an end, it is now safe to reiterate how poor Italian football is and how morons like Marotta are part of the problem. Not only do I see this club being massively unsuccessful for the next 2-3 years but I also dread to imagine how much farther down the hole Italian football can go.

Italians don’t do it better, they actually make things worse

Interview with Marotta:

What’s the situation of Buffon?
I speak with Gigi often. We believe in him and he’s going nowhere.

There are talks about interest in Vucinic and Menez. Is it true?
Absolutely not. It is inappropriate to talk about them now, as they are Roma players.

So, how about the construction of the team? Do you have a clear idea?
Yes, we do have clear ideas. We know we invested this season in quantity. Next season we will improve quality. Our goal is to sign at least two top players. We will talk with the top management very soon about this issue and we sure have clear ideas. We are now assessing and monitoring the availability of certain players.

For example, do you consider Vucinic a top player?
It’s difficult to tell you my opinion, because he’s a good player and I can’t discuss a Roma player.

Yes, I know. I just want to know what do you mean by “top player”?
To define, they are the best players around. For sure, the economic sacrifices are way more different and significant than we’ve done this season. So, it’s clear I mean players of first class. But, I cannot tell you my opinion about Vucinic out of respect for him. What do you think about him, Mario?

I consider him first class
So, that’s a good advice

Do you still believe in Aquilani?
We believe in him since the beginning. He responded very well on the pitch and we’re glad he’s back in the National Team. We will meet with Liverpool to discuss when the time is appropriate.

I would love to have a chat with Marrotta about players. I'd bring with me a huge list of players and ask him if he he has any interest in them or not. I'd start with Hazard..
