He's probably Top 3 or Top 5 among all time great sporting directors in Italian football but what exactly is your GOAT criteria?
What character assassination? Most of them admit he was a great sporting director during his time with us but the bridges have been burnt long ago and he is now the face of an institution that caused serious reputational and financial damage to us and won a treble at our expense.
I have zero respect for any JJ coach, player or sporting director joining Inda. This guy took it to another level by becoming president of that club.

I don't think I've known anyone else in the modern era who managed to create two teams from ground up with the money he had, sports director or manager. Perhaps Klopp and that's it. As for betraying Juve, will kind of did fire him deeming him replaceable but he clearly wasn't. Has he said anything particularly negative towards Juve since leaving?
