1. Our Full-backs Suck
2. We have no strikers that can score goals
3. We have 4 centre-backs, two of them quite good
4. He buys a back-up centreback
5. Doesn't buy a FB
6. Doesn/t buy a forward

This guy's an absolute freakin genius!

Suns :D

So yeah, we need a good striker desperately, just to instill some positivity and belief as much as anything else.

It was a cup match tonight but it was scrappy and desperate.

Marotta cannot be held accountable for the team’s failures. He is doing the best he can with the little budget he has. At least his decision-making and talent evaluation skills are top notch.

He is literally producing diamonds from pearls

This man signs Barzagli and Luca Toni. These signings are embarassing. Looking at the pathetic display of football by Juve today, we need at least a 100 million this summer to make this team great again.

"There is no need to sign anyone, this team is ready for the Scudetto"
Everytime you hear something like that you can be certain it's going to end badly.
This mentality has cost us the season, had we taken a smarter approach in January then I think we could find ourselves in a very different position.

I like how the goals progressively change too. "Europa League is important" - eliminated. "Scudetto is in our sights" - far cry. "We want the Coppa" - eliminated. Tomorrow I'm expecting: "Marotta: 'We want the Berlusconi Trophy'".

I don't understand what he said about signing players from abroad. Was it media bullshit, did I imagine it? That it would take too long for them to integrate?
I remember reading this as well... where GM was saying that it would take at least two months for new players to integrate themselves into the team, so there would be no point in buying anybody right now? Can't remember what trashy publication it was from...

Seems to be the one thing Juventus is good at during recent years.

"Money should be spent wisely and I do not want to waste it on untested foreign footballers who are not familiar with Serie A"

This man is SO against signing foreign players that it is unhealthy to our club. For example, his Sampdoria team had only like 3 foreign players last season. That was by far the least in the whole league.

I honestly don't even want to know what Marotta would do with 100 million. He would end up spending it on a bunch of Italians. He would probably start off by spending 30 million of them on Matri and Gilardino. The rest would probably go to signing more of those
2006 world champions.
