I like Guti as well, especially for his passing and pressing @ 2:43

One of my all time favorite games :touched:

Guti saw greatness and stepped aside.
Seriously though if he had a third of Pogba 's drive he'd one of the all time best, dude it cared about stocking it to Barca and looking good:lol:

Guti = (pirlo+iniesta+ zidane +Beckham+figo+scholes) - actually putting in work.

Milan signing Lapadula.

Why do I have a feeling Marotta wanted him just to trick Milan into buying this average 26 years old Serie B player?

This looks like Matri for 11 million all over again.

LOL

It doesn't, and Marotta wouldn't. We wanted him just for investment purposes later on most likely. It's Napoli that were gunho about getting him, but couldn't convince him of backup role.

Or it looks like Jamie Vardy / Graziano Pelle. 30 goals in Serie B isn't that easy and as you see his video's and summaries of Pescara matches you see this guy can grow to a higher level. But yes, he can also be a new Matri.

You find signing of Lapadula shrewd? 26 yo Serie B player, and to make it worse they've been signing strikers every summer instead of adressing their midfield woes?

I think he'll do well in Serie a. We were in for him too, but I think he had an issue with the limited amount of opportunity at a club like ours so understandable he passed. Pretty sure he will get more opportunity at Meelan, and I wouldn't write off his stats from a lower league. He's at an age that's about the right level of maturity to deal with 'supposed' pressure of a new environment at a relatively bigger club, At 10m, it mitigates the risk to a large degree, non-invasive almost as far as their investments for the midfield goes. Buying him first up may seem like we will question their priorities, but really, it's got more to do with the urgency of the deal since he is deep in negotiations or talks with a bunch of clubs and it was probably a call that needed to be taken immediately.

We were in for him for totally different reasons, none of which were him actually being on this squad :D

It wasn't only to give him to Sass, dint it also involve the possibility of him being our fourth choice striker, and selling Zaza for a wholesome profit? Would not surprise me if it worked out that way. And besides, Napoli were in for him too. Surely, he's made the right impression on a bunch of the clubs, and I'd like to think it's with good reason.

Bacca-Lapadula would work fine with a trequartista behind (Vazquez). move Bonaventura to CM with Kucka and a new signing and they have improved their starting 11 a lot. still have to sign a CB though

How? They need defenders and better midfielders. What is signing yet another striker going to do for them?
10m not really eating into that budget. Their attack is pretty unstable too for that matter, espesh since Bacca maybe off, and Balo pretty much done with his loan spell. I expect them to sell Bacca and reinvest in a midfielder, maybe a Witsel level signing.

As someone said Milan always sign marque players in attack.

This time they signed the best Serie B striker.

That's about their level, I guess
