It won't because we can also sell Pogba and make it look realistic.
Yes, but those are two different mercati, dependent on Pogba's sale. I don't think he'll go this summer, personally. I'd expect something like €30m spent, €25m in, plus lots of exchanges and in and outs with co-ownerships and loans.

Yeah. If we don't sell him I expect only us to be interested in Ranocchia, Cerci and Nani, possibly some talented kid who'd be bought for less than 5mln.

Which is somehow lame because we obviously lack depth contrary to what Marotta fans tried to convince us last summer.

We need quality acquisitions. We can't compete in Europe (the logical next step so to speak) with guys like Padoin, Peluso, and Osvaldo. The potential purchases of guys like Ranocchia and Cerci won't remedy shit; in fact they'd be an impediment to further progress (if you factor in wages and long term contracts).

But the fact is that we failed in Europe only because of individual mistakes. Had we avoided these we would have been playing in the CL at this stage.

We could do better in Europe with the team we already have. Just don't expect quality this summer. If we can get Menez and/or Nani for good deals then that'll suit those who want to use a more progressive formation in Europe, but this team on paper is already a QF team.

Winning the CL...what does that even mean in the current game? Spending €150m-€200m? That's the only way you 'build to win', otherwise you are building to get the best out of your players.

Yes, we missed out on that master plan....such a shame we got the great Osvaldo after our exit.

But is there a need for a more progressive formation? Our exit from the CL lies on two factors, individual mistakes and a green forward partnership, we have been lectured time and time again that this is the only reason we failed to qualify. Our tactics, game approach and players are the perfect combination to strangle and interrupt any opposition with their plays.

But even if we sell Pogba we won't be spending 30M+ on any player.

Its a very important fact. And exactly why the only deals for pogba we should consider, is when a 30M+ valued player is comming our way, +cash.
Cause no way we'd get one if they just give us a big pile of cash.

Sounds about right to me aswel

Sounds like a fine mercato to me tbh. add immobile to the list plz.

I think we would. They would feel the need to.
We cant economically support such a signing. Especially with the lost income from going out early in the CL

Considering how we are coping with these injury issues, yet still have a big lead in serie a and with half a leg in europaleague semi finals, i'd say we are doing just fine. Sure jack, our playing level is below what should be expected, and fitness levels are bad, but we must remember our limited financial resources. We cant keep 2 high class midfielders on the bench.
I miss giac.

That and new strikeforce setting in slowly. But what other defender can we actually get that is chiellini/barzagli level ?
If we had signed Osvaldo earlier, we could have tired out our opponents and then struck them with the one-two sucker punch of Gio and Vucinic
Is this bullshit really neccecary ? Dont you got anything better to do ?

Our current team underperformed considering its quality because of that. Yet its doing good in serie a and now europaleague considering drops in form and fitness levels due to injuries and to many games.
Next CL, is going to be the true benchmark. We must fix the mistakes we make. It will be very interesting to see what we have learned

We haven't learned anything, we still deploy the waiting game and get pinned back. We still trick some fans that we paralyze our opponents when in fact we get attacked by whatever side we meet.

With our current fitness levels, and especially without vidal, thats not a bad idea tbh.

Let the opponent race around and put up a wall ourselves. In the second half, we exploit their drop in speed and the weaknesses theyve shown.

I cant believe you forgot about the "studying round in first half" after making so much jokes about it.

After all it worked great against Napoli.
