The striker, who scored the Bianconeri’s second in Saturday’s 3-0 victory over Torino, has been handed a one-match ban after picking up his fourth yellow card of the season against the Granata.
Andrea Barzagli, also cautioned on derby day, joins Giorgio Chiellini, Leonardo Bonucci and Claudio Marchisio in remaining one booking away from suspension.
In contrast, Palermo boss Gian Piero Gasperini has a full complement of players available for the encounter.
