Faced with a Juve team that keeps on winning in Italy and Europe, our knockers have little choice but to resort to nitpicking in order to find something to criticise. That our strikers aren't getting enough goals, even though the Bianconeri have the most prolific attack in Serie A and one of the best in Europe (seven goals in the last two games against Nordsjaelland).
Or that Giovinco is always in the spotlight despite his goals, assists and decisive contribution. And that's one of the things Seba spoke to Sky Italia about in an interview to be broadcast before Sunday's match between AC Milan and Juventus: "I don't care if people judge me, all that matters to me is that we're top of the league, that we've just beaten the reigning European champions, that we won the Italian Super Cup and that we have the best attack and the best defence. I think all this controversy is over the top. All that really matters is that we keep doing well."
And this Juve side is doing really very well indeed. Two days on, people are still talking about Tuesday's magnificent victory over Chelsea, which saw Conte's charges take a step towards qualifying for the knockout stage. Giovinco reflected on that triumph at Juventus Stadium, when he wrapped things up with the third goal: "It was a big win and a crucial one for our progress in Europe. We want to be challenging at the top in every competition and obviously that includes the Champions League. My goal celebration? Taking off my shirt was an instinctive gesture, the first thing that came to mind. It had nothing to do with me proving a point."
Next up is the big match on Sunday, when the Bianconeri travel to the Stadio Meazza to take on AC Milan, another team galvanised by their midweek success in the Champions League. Sebastian stoked up the atmosphere ahead of the game with a light-hearted jibe: "Is El Shaarawy the Milan team? He's the one making the difference for them so, yes, I'd say he is."
