Organising a defense as a goalie is a whole another thing to being a coach though. Are there any good examples of goalies carving out a successful coaching career?
Watching the young Buffon vid, (before my diehard interest in soccer) he was reckless in a good way diving out for the ball not worrying about getting injured. And amazed how good Gigi was/is with his feet controlling the ball. Sure frustrated Baggio more than once
He's one of my all time favourites, if not #1. Despite that, a few times I thought he was finished and should bow out gracefully. I'm glad he has managed to prove me wrong each time.
He should join Santos or Boca Juniors. Great weather and playing for one of these historic clubs is always a nice way to sign off on a legendary career.
