I am not thinking [about leaving Juventus] because the principal thing this year was for me to return to being healthy and to get back my match rhythm.

“I have a contract with Juventus until 2013 and nothing is making me think about anything else. I would still like to win with Juventus' shirt. I hope that this is possible.”

Buffon then got behind Juventus Coach Gigi Del Neri, who is under fire again after Saturday's 2-2 draw with Catania.

For me it's not right that the Coaches always pay. First Ferrara then Zaccheroni. Now they are already putting the name of Del Neri's replacement forward. For me, he is the only one who isn't guilty. There has always been a very beautiful and cordial relationship between us based on respect.”

It is interesting, but I think the players feel that changing the way a team plays every few months will never get them anywhere either. They might just be a bit tired of starting new projects twice a season. Salva is quite right I believe, it's obvious that this team has a few major holes in it and it's not always the coach's fault.

I'm not defending Delneri at all here, his attitude in games and general understanding of how things are supposed to work simply don't suffice for a club like Juventus, but he's surely not the only problem.

I'd be tired of it too but I would also be tired of bringing shitting coaches to have to be coached by.

What's worse? Where should the line be drawn in the sand?

Yep. And I agree with you about Delneri.

A turd of a coach + shitty team = crap results.

Buffon is being diplomatic, and he obviously realizes that while Del Neri is culpable and highly responsible for the mess we are in, some of the players also need to shoulder the blame.

However, I fear that with our board setting limits on how much they are willing to pay a new coach, we will be stuck with DN for yet another season, or possibly acquire another mediocre coach.

If you dont like your coach then you just don't answer the question when it comes up otherwise you give the wrong impression. If someone like Buffon says he is ok with the coach then he will be taken seriously. Personally if it were me I just would have dismissed it altogether.

At this stage, fuck diplomacy
