Wouldn't sell Gigi, though I'm pretty sure Marrotta's eyes just lit up with an offer like that. He'll be happy to sell and replace Gigi with another mediocre player. While he continues to deplete this squad of it's most talented, classy players.

i dont form my opinions from theoffside, but i often agree with them. If a player is doing badly, and we have an alternative, i think he should be dropped for a game. a true pro, which buffon most definitely is, will react positively, force his way, on form and sharpness in training, back into the starting line-up straight away...its a sensitive issue to many, i understand, but i am very much against players literally owning a position in the starting XI, no matter their form, or their sharpness...it demeans the rest of the squad to know no matter how hard they train, fight, and impress when given the chance to make a cameo for the first XI, they are simply never going to dislodge their main competitor for the place. Clubs shouldn't be run like that. Nobody is saying that buffon is finished. And really, its a small matter of interest...as GK is one of the positions we are very well covered in...usually. much more pressing are the fullback positions, the dynamic of the midfield, adding attacking options and creating movement in attack...THOSE are the things to get heated up about...if anything.

Nobody has said 'the problem with our team is buffon' capitano...nobody in our starting XI should be untouchable when we are absolutely atrocious...not just for a week or two, but for more than two months now. Shaking up the first team is one option which surely must be considered. I would be happy to see some of our youth team given more time...especially over the likes of toure...challenging sorensen...and dont we have any natural wingers in the primavera, who could play apprentice/sub for krasic...and share the left wing with pepe???? in attack we are hardly fine and dandy either...

much to do.
Alright but Buffon's mistakes aren't something you can train about. He needs more game time to regain that sharpness so why not give it to him? And Storari is probably leaving this summer so it doesn't matter that much whether he's happy or not.

From what I read he should have gotten sent off today. Anyway if some Juve fans insist on using Storari, I would gladly welcome Buffon @ Manchester United.

I dont think that was red card. IMO a red card shoul be always given for that challenge outside the box, but inside tehe box a penalty plus a yellow card is quite adequate.

He would have got a red card if Traore wasn't next to him, as a last man rule.

What you say makes sense but Buffon must have been sent off based on the rules IMO. He denied Cesena's player of a goal.

Good game by Buffon, he kept us in the match at times.

:agree:

Based on the rules of the game, I think that he should have been sent off, the only reason that I can see why he stayed on was that the Cesena player's touch was slightly wide and Traore was relatively close.

But I do think that these rules are extremely harsh.
