Casillas and Cech don't quite cut it, same goes for Julio Cesar. He's been better than those two, but still not convincing enough to say he's better than Buffon.

I have to say, Given is the best GK in the Premier League, and I have been saying this even when he was at Newcastle. Shows you don't have to have a top defence to be a top keeper.

I did say Casillas wasn't a worthy challenger.
As for the quatifying part, I'm not on about castrol rankings or whatever, I just don't know how you calculate Gigi to be the worlds best keeper on a hypothetical situation.
And as for over a period of time yes Gigi has been the best, but is he the best right now. I didn't hear people say that about Schmicheal when he was playing his days out at city.

If you don't think The International Federation of Football History and Statistics is worthy of classifying who the best GK is, then I don't think there's anything that would excpet you watching some of his incredible and match/trophy saving saves.

He's better than Cech right now. I'd say he's the best in the prem aswell. Some people will probably put Reina forward, but he's not that good.

You're right, that's why he gave the finger to Newcastle to save his career after another humiliation from Pool. 5-1 IIRC.
