"It is hard to know where to begin when it comes to pinpointing his outstanding qualities, he has so many. And it's impossible to pick out a weakness. One of the most important qualities in a goalkeeper is calmness – an ability to stay cool under pressure is very important – and if he can transmit that quality to the defence and to his team-mates, it has a very positive effect on the way the team play. Buffon's presence reassures his colleagues. He is the contemporary keeper everyone playing in goal looks up to and aspires to emulate."

- The fanboy, Iker Casillas.

Mystery over Buffon comeback
Wednesday 31 March, 2010
There is mystery surrounding Gianluigi Buffon, as he was expected back this weekend, but did not attend training for Juventus.

The goalkeeper has been out of action since February 21 and medical staff had suggested a return 10 days ago.

However, he is still nowhere to be seen and did not attend today’s training session at Vinovo.

There are now reports Buffon has suffered a relapse of his thigh strain and it is unclear when he will be able to play.

This means Alex Manninger will again be in goal for Saturday’s trip to Udinese, a game you can watch LIVE on ESPN from 20.00 UK time.

Diego is also out after limping off during the 2-1 win over Atalanta, while Giorgio Chiellini is highly unlikely to recover in time either.

Chiellini trained in a separate session from the rest of the team with fellow injury doubts Paolo De Ceglie, Martin Caceres, Christian Poulsen, Momo Sissoko, Hasan Salihamidzic and Vincenzo Iaquinta.

The good news is that Mauro Camoranesi will be back from suspension.

Amauri is tipped for a starting spot, as he scored three times in today’s game between ranks.

Why? He's getting old, became somewhat injury prone, it's not like we'll be getting much money from the deal anyway. And if we do sell him, we have to buy a replacement, and I don't see many good GKs available right now. But he has still plenty to offer when he stays, maybe we should even consider him a future manager, after what he did against Atalanta.

Juventus, Bettega: "Buffon non sarà ceduto"

“There is no way Buffon will be leaving Juventus for City,” claimed agent Silvano Martina.

“These links are pure speculations. And Buffon himself is irritated by them.”
Hey guys, here are some quotes. Re read them please.

Put it to bed, not that the press will take any notice.
Although I did love seeing this :D

Gazzetta dell'Inter making up stories about our key players again? You would think they were trying to get back at us/deflect attention or something wouldn't you?

So predictable

I think Buffon will want to leave too, he already have lost few seasons without CL and any siverware, I whink he will want to be a contender for titles with the time he has got and I don't think our rebuilding projects will be enough for his ambitions.
