A year in the spotlight ends with the most wonderful news: Gianluigi Buffon will remember 2007 for a very long time; for his performances on the pitch, which confirmed his status as the strongest keeper in the world, but most of all for the most eagerly awaited event: becoming a father.
This morning, Friday December 28, his partner Alena Seredova gave birth to a beautiful baby boy, who was given the name Louis Thomas.

Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has become a father for the first time today.
Buffon’s girlfriend Alena Seredova gave birth this morning to a baby boy. The new born has been called Louis Thomas.
A statement on Juventus’ official website reads as follows:

Buffon has been in stunning form upon Juventus’ return to Serie A this season. He has made a succession of world-class saves this campaign, including one incredible stop from Lazio’s Tommaso Rocchi a fortnight ago.
