I think Milan plan one major signing this summer. I think that if they do splash cash and get Ronaldinho then they won't spend the heavy price to get Buffon. But I'll explain to you this way:

Say we have 40M to spend on players (without selling BUffon)

Let's say we want to get Quaresma, but we can only afford to pay 15 million so we can't get him. Instead we end up with Guily. But if sell Buffon it means we can get extra cash smd level up our trasnfers. And instead of signing average/good players, we can sign class ones.
