By the way, not only the saves he does are fundamental, his presence and his ability to play the ball at his feet is so important and that alone frustrates the forwards a lot. Usually forwards expect the goalkeeper to shoot so they try to block his vision but Buffon doesn't, he simply plays the ball and the thing is he can pass it with both feet.
