Hopefully this sexy bastard plays for Juventus until he can walk no more. ;)

Big NO to those who think we should sell this legend - short term memory. He won't bring in major $, and he's one of our very few leaders! He's world class, I don't care what any haters might say.

Also, coming off major surgery, (despite playing well for Italy the other day - caught the second half, saw a couple nice saves - and a little luck) he was always going to take awhile to get back to his best. We probably won't see vintage Gigi form until after a full offseason of rest and training... and hopefully a couple solid reinforcements along the back line.

Love this guy!

He was flawless against Slovenia, the negative environment at Juventus is hurting players.
Agreed. This seems to apply to all of our players, which really shows hows shitty things are at the club right now.

As illustrated in the recent intrerview with Trez, the influence of players like Buffon cannot be solely measured on how many saves they make.

Selling Buffon and/or Chiellini to bring in the likes of Bastos, Rossi and Neymar would completely put me off Juve.
if the club MUST sell a player to generate funds for others, would you rather it be Buffon or the likes of Chiellini? Rumours of Melo and chiellini leaving do worry me because they are in their mid 20s and are the future of the club whereas Buffon has a couple of good seasons left in him if he stays fit and healthy.

If we keep Buffon and lose Chiellini, im pretty sure Buffon wont be able to save us that much with how poor our defence will be. This is my main concern withthat defence. Buffon can only do so much but if our defence is weakened anymore than it is now then he may as not even play and we can put in a reserve keeper.

Of the two, I'd rather Buffon was sold. If Melo is an option, I'd rather he was sold. He's unreliable and more easily replaceable than the first two.

Selling our only WC players is just not the way to reach the top again. I could deal with Melo's departure (if the replacement was Mascherano/M'Vila) but Buffon's and Chiellini's it's just too silly. If Buffon and Chiellini leave the club to be replaced with Storari and Rolando for example, I'll definitely lose the interest in the club.

If we really want to comeback, we'll have to pay for that. Wisely.

Why are so many people getting worked up over these rumours?

Buffon is probably a bit more of a possiblility (I reckon about a 30/40% chance of leaving), but there is no way in hell the club will sell Chiellini...and fuck all chance of them selling both.

handanovic is a decent keeper... but if we are going to replace buffon it better be with someone who's actually better than just decent... thankfully we won't have to for a few years...

"It's no secret that Juventus would like Buffon to take a pay cut. His existing deal said to be worth €6.5m a season is due to expire in 2013 and it's thought that the Old Lady plan to ask Buffon to slash his wages by more than 50 per cent in an effort to reduce costs. "

First Trezeguet then Buffon. Marotta's shamelessness has no bounds.
