Buffon suffered herniated disc

Italy have cause for optimism as a scan has shown that Gigi Buffon has a slightly herniated disc, which could rule him out for just two games.
Buffon complained of back pain during the warm-up before Italy's opening World Cup match against Paraguay on Monday night.
Federico Marchetti replaced him at half-time and looks certain to take the No 1 shirt for Italy's two remaining group matches against New Zealand and Slovakia.
According to ANSA, Italy's chief medic Enrico Castellacci took Buffon for a scan at Pretoria hospital this morning.
The scan revealed a herniated disc, which could result in Buffon being out for just two games.
However, that prognosis is the best-case scenario and as yet there is no concrete idea of when Buffon will be fit again.
