Nah, somewhere like Chelsea for example he'd never see the light of day, just another one of many loanees who they'd make some money off. For every Tuzzer there is a fan on another big club forum waxing lyrical about how random prospect on loan should be in the first team next season.

We could bring him back and see how he does on loan in a better league, but likelihood is we'll look to sell him whilst he's in form. I always liked him as a player, he has a great left foot and nice technique, but it's not a high standard. Imagine saying to someone our next striker is relatively young and scoring goals in the SPL, many would have serious doubts (aside from the young player fetishists), but because he's from our system we are desperate to get as many players involved as possible with the first team. But this is what these loans are for, to get games at a decent level and improve their standing and see where it takes them.

I'd like to see him get a Serie A loan next season, personally, but can easily see him being sold to a German club or the like.

Austrian Bundesliga players with a goal scoring rate of at least .80 per 90 minutes since 2019

    Haaland
    Patson Daka
    Shon Weismann
    Adeyemi
    Vrioni

    - Haaland doesn't need an explanation.
    - Daka was sold for $30M+ to Leicester
    - Adeyemi was sold for $30M+ to Dortmund
    - Weismann was sold to Real Valladolid who were in La Liga at the time. This year he scored 20 goals for them in Liga 2.

Idk, seems Vrioni is good enough to play in a top league. I'd take him as cheap depth any day. But if they sell him, they better get more than they got for Baden.

Shame that he had that long injury, he could’ve been the striker that made ~20 goals in Serie C for us, something we’ve never seen before.

Don’t sell tho, Austria isn’t the best competition but surely not the worst one. I read a article once about our strategy of sending players there. It’s the 8th league on the coefficients list, they’re behind The Netherlands but there’s a big gap between the Austrian and Belgian or Russian competition for example. So players there play on a acceptable level, gain some international experience and are likely to have many minutes. And it’s been quite rewarding in this specific case.

So if we’re patient (be it to sell him after a year) the player will arrive at X club in Serie A with more leverage compared to being a youngster coming straight from Serie C.

Tirol is an easy place to send players to just because of where it is in relation to Italy. As you probably know there is even an Italian Tyrol.

It's not the worst standard but is definitely propped up in terms of the UEFA coefficient largely by RB Salzburg. Like you say, there is a big gap from 7th to 8th. The other thing worth pointing out is that Austrian Bundesliga does this weird thing where they play a regular season of 22 games with everyone playing each other and then it breaks off into championship and qualification groups, the former is the top 6 teams who play each other for the last 10 games and then the bottom 6 teams do the same with each other, so WSG have been playing the worst teams in the league in the past 10 games - 7 goals in past 9 games compared to 10 in 16. But it's not a huge difference. They seem to be a pretty decent team for the league and they have a chance of ELQ as well.

The most important thing for him really is that he has come back strongly from serious injury and he looks dynamic and agile again.

For 10m, the risk/reward ratio sucks to hard
yeah idk, I don’t really wanna sell him but I’d be surprised if management felt the same. Idk why we have to chase these older 9s, such a waste of money and time. None of them are gonna make that much of a difference and we’ll be right back here next summer looking for another one.

    Has anyone watched him play?

The Austrian BL is a joke outside of RBS, we shouldn't go by goals alone, in a league like that we should see if he has the characteristics to translate good performances to a higher level.

Let's not forget Yeboah who was doing the same as Vrioni in Austria and came to a dead halt in Genoa.

For that matter we have Brunori scoring like 30 goals for Palermo in Serie C. But again, what about him or Vrioni shows that they can do it in Serie A?

For all the hate Kean gets he actually showed he can score at this level and iirc he is younger than Vrioni.

Most only at U23. He was a decent player, great shot as said before. After that he got injured and went on loan

4m for the sale. Looks like there will be a nice influx of cash once you add up those small sales like Vironi/Mandragora/Dragusin/Israel etc.
