@ Rami;1998-world cup qualifying matches-Manama-Bahrain:
If Iran could beat Bahrain, they would qualify for the World Cup.Bahrain had no hopes to qalify but they played their best game.Iran lost 3-1 and Saudi qualified instead.after the match,Bahraini players waved Saudi's flag in the stadium and celebrated with it.
You,as a Saudi citizen, for sure felt great at that night(you should).no one blamed Bahrain players(no one shouldn't)and every one admired them because of their fair play(every one should).no one appologised Iranians because of their waving our opponent's flag(no one shouldn't).nothing happend(and it shouldn't).
Bahrinis are Arabs and they were very happy because they made another Arab team qualify.it's damn normal.

No matter for what reason, that Ghana player has the right to celebrate with the flag of every country he wants.he had his own reasons for sure.how the hell it's realted to polotics?I'm sick of it.

It's better for every one to realise that SPORTS should make the nations closer to each other.politics and governments can go to hell.

Its disgusting, first they unceremoniously knock out Rosicky and Nedved from the WC, then they have the utter cheek to not wave lithuanian flags at every possible opportunity... tsk tsk whatever next :D

LoL Hoori why is this directed to me? I wasn't really offended seeing the Israeli flag, just amused because no apparent relationship between Ghana and Israel. The only relationship that I could come up with is that he is a "Flasha Jew", but also knowing that those are from Ethopia I knew it was a far shot. But when I found out I was like OK whatever, I don't like it but its up to him...I already stated that if Yasser Al-Qahtani waved an Italian flag I would be pretty pissed.

You said it, it's damn normal because they are Arabs and there IS a relationship. But a Ghanian player waving an Israeli flag isn't normal. I was amused as I mentioned earlier. Just like an Argentinian waving an russian flag, or a Japaneese waving an Austrian flag. if there is no apparent relationship one must wonder. But do they have the right to? Yes they do! Do I respect it? Well it depends on the situation:p

And yes no one appolagized to Iran because the Iranian government wasn't offended, maybe the players were, but they aren't really important in diplomacy:p. Ghana could not afford to offend 20+ countries. Maybe its not offending at all to wave the israeli flag, but not addressing it and ignoring it (given the historical tension between Arabs and Israeli) as if nothing happened could deeply ruin political ties between the Arabs and Ghana.

And as for politics and governments can go to hell statement, yes maybe in utopia, but not in this world, everything is interwined, not just politics and sports.

So Once again its just politics. The foreign minister isn't really "deeply sorry", the Arab leaders will continue their backroom deals with Israel, the Arab foriegn ministers will continue bullying Ghana and the likes while cowering in the face of America or China, Isreal will continue building its walls and massacaring palastinians....SO ITS JUST A SLEEZY GAME OF POLITICS!

So did they shoot that player yet? Unacceptable behaviour if you ask me. There can be no other option than the death penalty.

First time i agree with you, I wouldn't be surprised if there is a hit out on the player who waved the flag.

There is still a one million dollar reward for anyone who kills a Muhammed cartoonist. I don't remember who said it but over-sensitive idiots is right.
