Beckham Most Paid Player In The World
5/3/2005 5:17:00 PM
According to ‘France Football’, the Galacticos' player earns 25 million Euros per season from wages and advertisements.
David Beckham is the highest earner in today’s football world according to the French magazine, as the top three list features just Real Madrid players. Ronaldo is in second place with 19.6 million, and in third place we find Zinedine Zidane with 13 million Euros per year.

The fourth and fifth places are occupied by Italian players, Christian Vieri (12 million) and Alessandro Del Piero (9.5 million).

------------------------------------------------------------------------

I just read this off goal.com, its amazing that out off the five top earners in football, probably only Zidane's performances merit his earnings followed y Beckham.

Ronaldo to me is not that great anymore and Vieri and Del Piero are definately under par. But yet its these five guys that earn the most money.
Anybody have a clue on how much we pay Del Piero and how much he gets from sponsors?
I know Beckham gets a huge amount from advertisements but Vieri? Or is Inter paying all of it? Because if they are, they would be top losers.

Do you guys think these guys merit this sort of money judging by performances? Lets say these guys get 70% of their earnings are from their clubs, is it worth it? A team could buy a new good player with that amount.

you guys still want del piero on the bench
The problem is DP is not giving Capello much of a choice. In all honesty DP fully deserves all the substitutions and all the benching he's been getting.

But he doesn't get to do so, coz Capello doesn't give him enough game time to sweat...
Hey, If i was DP i wouldnt be complaining. When you look at that wage bill and the amount of work he does to get it.. its pretty sweet for him.
