I'll go out on a limb: I like Lampard. He's probably the England NT's best player of the past couple of years as well. Gerrard has his moments, but he's no Lampard.

I think SweeP is the best English player..
(Sean Wright-Phillips) ..

Wright Phillips has immense potential but calling him England's best player is taking it a tad too far. One thing is for sure though, England are going to have some of the world's most exciting wide players at their disposal in two or three years time (SWP, Joe Cole, Downing).

I believe he's one of the best english players.. he has huge potential, and he already deserves the right-wing spot instead of captain beckham..

Wright Phillips is a better right winger than Beckham but I don't think he's a better fit than Becks ATM. I don't like Beckham and I think he's heavily overrated but he gives England some needed balance in midfield. He's quite influential too.

IMO both are crap outside the EPL
how do you know ?

it's not like that, its all depends on the coach , if 1 of them comes to us i guess Capello can do alot with him !

we can not judge just like that ( only good in EPL) ?

IMO if we had the chance to choose 1 of them i prefer Lampard and you can guess Juve's Midfield how its ganna be look like?

way better to see him instead of emerson . both of them are very tactical players wherever they go !!

so we can not judge by saying that they are not Ganna succeed outside England unless those teams (outside england)who gave an offers to them are stupid ?

Lampard scored 19 goals and had 31 assists last season in all comps.

Not only this, OPTA stats back up the claim that Lampard is a much more effective player then Gerrard.

(Gerrard) In comparison to Lampard, his partner in England's central midfield, the native Merseysider falls down in all areas except for a slightly higher chance conversion rate and tackles won percentage.

Code:
Player Gerrard Lampard
Appearances 30 38
Minutes On Pitch	2,467 3,413
Goal Attempts
Goals 7 13
Shots 59 114
Shooting Accuracy	42% 45%
Chance Conversion	12% 11%
Passing
Goal Assists 4 18
Pass Completion %	75% 80%
Cross Completion %	25% 27%
Defending
Tackles Made 113 138
Tackles Won % 73% 68%
Blocks 5 15
Discipline
Fouls	33 27 52
Yellow Cards 3 6
Red Cards 0 0
Lampard has a great defensive presence, the Arsenal game this year at SB is a great example, saved two goals with last second tackles against Pires. Gerrard also has a great defensive presence and maybe is a bit better then Lampard, but going forward Lampard is the better player. Lampards fitness is also almost unmatched, he has started 140+ EPL games in a row for Chelsea, and played only 57 games this season.

Both a great players though and hopefully can steer England to World Cup glory in 2006.

Lampard played better last year definately, he was Chelsea's player of the year. the most stupid comment I have heard about him was the commentator of ESPN and StarSports, an indian guy (forgot the name) saying:

"Lampard is a fantastic player, a worldclass midfielder, this is why Real Madrid want him because he is obviously Zidane's natural replacement"

I cracked up hearing that, not that Lampard is bad, but he plays so much differently from zidane and has only about half Zidane's skills.
