His record this season is very impressive, but it's always risky to judge strikers after one great season. More than players of any other position.

Indeed, its more about Hoffenheims system then his greatness, but fuck me, 18 league goals in early december is still sick.

Last minute win for Bayern against Hoffenheim. Toni brought them the win.
Bayern had their chances so i can't say it's undeserved, but even if Hoffenheim won (Salihovic missed a mega chance 2 minutes before the end) it would have also been a deserved win.

I was wondering if you think whether he is an upcoming striker, on the rise, kind of predicting from his present performance. There is no point predicting once he or any other striker have reached their peak.

Anyways, Bayern won. Most of the match I wanted Hoffenheim to win, would have been deserved imo, but a late unexpected goal from Toni and some ethusiastic celebrations makes this game easier to swallow. Good win for Bayern.

Yup, he really should have finished that nice move. Although Toni has also missed 2 or 3 easy chances.

Yeah, second half was Bayerns almost all the time, so they got the reward for their work, typical Toni, doing nothing and hitting home at the last second.

:agree:

Too bad Salihovic didn't score at the end. It would have been a great assist by Ibisevic and it would have been his 8th assist of the season.

Anyway, 18 goals and 7 assists after 16 rounds is still an amazing record for the Bosnian.

Oh, and Bosnians have a lot to be proud of and they can expect great things from their NT in the future.

Look at the Bundesliga assist list:

8 assists
Zvjezdan Misimović (VfL Wolfsburg)
Sejad Salihović (TSG 1899 Hoffenheim)

7 assists
Edin Džeko (VfL Wolfsburg)
Vedad Ibišević (TSG 1899 Hoffenheim)

6 assists
Tamás Hajnal (Borussia Dortmund)
Szabolcs Huszti (Hannover 96)
Miroslav Klose (FC Bayern Munich)
Bastian Schweinsteiger (FC Bayern Munich)
Zé Roberto (FC Bayern Munich)

The top4 are Bosnians

My bosnian friend says Dzeko is their best attacker. How good do you have to be to be better then super effective Ibisevic? (who is apparently a bench player in their NT?)

But yeah, pretty ridicolous a small nation (geographically and football wise) like that has 4 players being the most creative in one of the bigger leagues of the continent.

But yeah, we didnt see it in this game, but Hoffenheims super offensive approach to the game is commendable. Ibisevic owes his success to that.

Dzeko is a giant. From what i've seen he's very different from Ibisevic. More like a Jan Koller type of striker.
