Diego was never Captain. Baumann is, when he is not available it´s Frings and after Frings it´s Diego
Diego isn't third captain, I think. But I don't think anyone can proof anything here. And noone cares either. :D

Crap performance by Werder today. Noone wanted to win, really embarassing. Congrats to Wolfsburg, the deserved champions.

Dzeko and Grafite scored 54 goals, now that's a dynamic duo.
That's only in Bundesliga.
Dzeko was also the topscorer in the German cup and he, together with Grafite, scored 10 goals in the CUp which makes a total of 64 goals for these two this season.

Btw, everyone mentions Grafite and Dzeko but there is a guy in Wolfsburg who is just as valuable to the team and who was probably the main reason why Grafite and Dzeko kept scoring for fun.
Playmaker par excellence, vision that is matched in the league only by Diego. Fantastic technique, brilliant through passes.
I'm talking about Misimovic, of course.
20 assists and 7 goals in the league. 8 assists and no goals in the Cup. That's 28 assists and 7 goals for the guy this season. He's "only" 26 and he might be another player the bigger teams would like to buy.
He also scored 3 goals and made 5 assists for his national team in this season's qualifiers for the world cup.
That's a total of 10 goals and 33 assists for Misimovic in 2008/09
A little slow though but he compensates the lack of speed with technique and vision.

Misimovic is a genius, classic playmaker :lick:.

Misimović always had it, he had the potential but never really fluorished. That's a different case from this season however as he's erupted, similarly to D'Agostino of Udinese. With Miralem Pjanić, Edin Džeko, Vedad Ibišević and of course Misimović, Bosnia has some useful players coming through for their national team.

Kind of sad to see Wolfsburg falling apart, right after they achieved this magnificent success. Magath left and keeping their star players will be downright impossible. Would have been nice to see this team in next year's CL.

Yeah, Misimovic is main power behind dynamic duo, but Magath made perfect team and all players deserve credit for this title.

You think they can beat the US national team? :D
Great, let's wait Andy to tell us

I'm really glad that Wolfsburf won it, not only because of Bosnians they have, but because they are small team compared to Bayern and they learned them a lesson.

And yeah forza Miske and Dzeko!!!

Wolfsburg's home record is something i haven't seen in any of the big leagues for a long time (if ever)

17 matches - 16wins - 1 draw- 0 defeats (51:13)
