I finally managed to get some tickets again to attend my 3rd game this season. Werder will play against Cottbus today, a win is needed to hold 2nd place. Diego is out unfortunately, but I'm confident we'll get all three points today.

Wolfsburg are a bigger club than Palermo. It's a step up for that mediocre piece of trash.
ehrm...no?!
Wolfsburg is crap and Palermo actually manages to get a UEFA-Cup spot from time to time. In addition to that, Wolfsburg would get owned when playing against Palermo. Zaccardo could go to bigger clubs than Palermo, money can be the only reason to consider a Wolfsburg move. I mean, Wolfsburg, hardly anyone wants to play there, why Zaccardo? This shit is mad...

Bayern need only a draw today to win the bundesliga title , i think they will get it unless Wolfsburg postpone it to next week.

Gattuso Agrees Terms With Bayern

Gennaro Gattuso has agreed personal terms with Bayern Munich and will soon sign a four-year contract to join the club, according to Controcampo.

Gattuso’s future at Milan has been uncertain for a number of weeks now, with the Italian press speculating that he will quit the club in the summer for a new challenge abroad.

A number of big European clubs have been linked with the 30-year-old, including Manchester United and Real Madrid, but it is Bayern Munich who had really made their interest known.

Yesterday it was reported in the media that the Bavarian giants had drawn up a huge contract offer for Gattuso.

Controcampo now says that the midfield hardman has accepted these terms, and he will sign a four-year contract at the club worth just under €5.5m-a-season.

All that remains now is for Bayern and Milan to agree on a transfer fee, with the Rossoneri said to be demanding at least €12.5m.

Milan have accepted that there is no chance of persuading Gattuso to stay, although they may ask for a cherry in the deal, in the form of French full back Willy Sagnol.

Sagnol has had a miserable season at the Allianz Arena, having fallen out with Coach Ottmar Hitzfeld, and like Gattuso, may seek a new challenge following eight years in Germany.

why bayern want gattuso , they have van bomel.
MVB is a poor-man's Michael Ballack, he can do it all in midfield, but not nearly as good as Ballack.

Gattuso can rip up the midfield like a crazyman, MVB can't do that, he's not a hard man.
Because Zé Roberto will return to Brazil after the next season.
Yes, but Ze is different, he is a defensive playmaker, a transformed winger, not a hardcore DM.

Extension until 2012

Philipp Lahm pledges his future to Bayern

16.05.2008

Friday brought two pieces of good news for Philipp Lahm. On the one hand, he was called up as expected by Germany coach Joachim Löw to the national squad for EURO 2008 in Austria and Switzerland this summer. And on the eve of the last match of the 2007-8 Bundesliga season, he agreed the terms of a three-year extension to his current contract with champions Bayern, keeping him in Munich until 30 June 2012.

"I'm delighted about it, otherwise I wouldn't have done it,“ Lahm commented ahead of a final pre-match training session on Friday. Talks with the board and incoming coach Jürgen Klinsmann in recent weeks had been "very productive. I sense a real new beginning here, and that's what persuaded me,“ he told the respected Süddeutsche Zeitung.

One for the future

Current boss Ottmar Hitzfeld welcomed the 24-year-old international's decision to pull on a red jersey for the foreseeable future. "I'm delighted for Philipp Lahm and for Bayern. This is naturally the best decision he could have made - a Bavarian is staying at Bayern,“ the General commented in his final pre-match news conference at the Säbener Strasse. "The future belongs to Philipp Lahm. He's a terrific player, and already one of the best in the world.“

Only four weeks ago, Bayern withdrew an initial contract extension offer after talks stalled and the player allowed a deadline to pass without a decision. However, the board never gave up hope of reaching agreement with the Munich-born full-back. "I'm very optimistic that Philipp will remain at Bayern beyond 2009,“ chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge told the tz tabloid last Friday.

Phew, better than him joining the Mancs, with Lahm on one side and Evra on the other, i doubt any team in the world would have had a better pair of fullbacks
