It's pure awesome, the book is just an incredible page turner. Hope they show is in the right hands, with some of the casting choice, it seems to be lol.

Not to mention most serial comic books are much more suited for TV format. Movies just better cash grabs but not the most fitting format except for stand alone stories or characters. TV just better at fleshing out these stories and characters. X men in particular, the movies just cast so many characters and gives them brief cameos for fan service, ignoring what makes the characters do they are or the themes explored in different arcs.

Interesting, the creator of Fargo and trippy series about Professor Xaviers son. Different mediums means it can never connect to actual movies tho, aka his father can't be cameoed by the movie actors.

:agree:

Only worry is that it is Starz making it. They seem to be pretty hit or miss.

True, tho they done excellent work with Black Sails, good with Outlander and Power, decent with white queen, Spartacus and Survivors remorse. Kinda busy for such a small network.

What's most important who the show creator is tho.

Bryan Fuller and Michael Green. I know the first one from Pushing Daisies and Hannibal, although I never really watched the latter. Michael Green, I don't know much about.. Just read that he co-wrote the Blade Runner sequel and is involved in the writing of Alien: Covenant... @CrimsonianKing

Yeah pretty much found out the same, liked Pushing Daisies quite a bit, never got stuck on Hannibal. Two good productions but wildly apart in style and genre.

DAI I proudly watched all seasons of Spartacus, and yeah it was pretty much as you described. I was visiting my parents once and we all laughed when my mother made our father forward through a sex scene

It was quite entertaining series in its wildly excessive graphic style, have a board game based on the show thats very good. What I liked the most is the brutally period appropriate insults lol.

Xena was so hot btw. and i don't care how much time the make up artist needed to make her look like that.

I'm loving that Ian Mcshane and Peter Stormare are playing Mr Wednesday and Czernobog respectively. Massively underrated actors IMO.

Peter Stormare is odd ball classic cult icon. So fitting for any colorful role.

McShane is a complete legend for me. Al Swearengen of Deadwood and Waleran Bigod from Pillars of Earth are two roles I rewatched for him, nice to see him back in TV. Last show he headlined was written and made by one of the writers for this one Green, Biblical story on dystopic world, called Kings I recall. Canceled too quickly by the network.

That was a great role and a great show in general. All the good shows are canceled too quickly.

A friend of mine played a supporting role to Stormare in a Canadian movie called Small Town Murder Songs, so I got to meet him while they were filming. Fantastic fellow. Incredibly versatile, and like you say, crazy oddball, so perfect for colourful roles.

Deadwood was amazing. I need to rewatch it. My brother-in-law's favourite show.

One year later I discovered The Path and I somehow like it. The thing is I want something to binge as I am waiting one week for Homeland and will soon start waiting one week for Saul.

As for Taboo, I really want to start it but if I get hooked up, I will also start waiting week after week and I don't want that, I will binge it once there are a few episodes out.

About Peter Stormare @Osman

Another interesting thing about Peter, have you heard hos story when a certain director (he refuses to tell who) called him to ask him if he is interested in playing a role. The director asked him if he has seen the movie Fargo and if he can play the role of a maniac psychopath like the blonde one in Fargo. Stormare took it personally and hung.
