For those of you who watched the masterpiece that is the Wire, this is the new series of the same creators, firs episode just out, and its...

Suprising to see Steve Zahn and John Goodman in the cast, knew the wire actors of Bunk and Lester Freeman characters were in it, but not the above two.

I think it's lacking a bit. I don't know what it is exactly but there's no hero/anti-hero to 'root for' in it. That being said there's only been one episode so here's hoping.

No shit its only one episode, one only needs to soak it in. But with this setting, the possible plots and "villains" as you say, which they already hinted at, is frigging endless.

Well hustla's and jaded/crooked cops are pretty appealing yeah, but I wouldnt say it was immediate, took time to soak in the whole world of it.

Norleans style. Yeah, gonna wait for the series to be out first. :D

it's just starting to make sense now Swag...in its own inimitable style of course.

(please note the fancy word I just used)
Fancy!

I still watch Lost. But the writers painted themselves in corners.

One show I finally started to pick up, starring a few Lost alums, is FastForward. Great plot, ok on execution... I'm at the curious stage.

First episode is out Swag, or you mean til whole first season is done?

And Lost is fucking great hehe, yeah its bit off the wall in how random their writing seems to be, but it delivers in being entertaining and wtf mysterious.

And Flashforward is bit interesting, while being bit bland in how its done still, I think its about to get cancelled, and it barely gotten anywhere.

Thanks for pointing out Treme, Osman. Could have went under the radar...

And no way was The Wire intriguing after the first episode, it was boring like hell and the sheer magnitude of the characters are enough to put one off watching the next episode. But after a few episodes, when it gets going....we all know what it's about.

Can't wait to watch this when I get home.

Oh and whoever recommended me Arrested Development, I love you. I watched like all the episodes in the last week.

Fantastic cast, acting, writing is witty and intelligent...superb stuff.

Thanks for bringing it to our attention Os

Was a big "The Wire" fan, hopefully this one is at least half as good.
