House of dragon has turned to trash. Fuck.

Another boring episode with mediocre acting.

They throw in a lesbian kissing scene that was not in the books ( the quote from Rhynerea about wanting to be a man was also too much) and the worst thing about this season is that they have completely wasted the best character from season 1... Daemon.

Agreed, 6 episodes in, and this season is alot worse then season 1. Which was good enough to be a GOT season. But season 2 is just bunch of standing around soap opera.

Daemon needs to get out of Harrenhal ASAP. For 5 episodes straight he been hallucinating in the halls of that castle. Feels like filler to save budget.

based on some rotten tomatoes suggestions, i started to watch the woman in the wall with my gf. after like 1.5 episodes i cannot tell too much about the series, but the background story is some twisted disturbing shit. it's loosely based on some real events, those magdalene laundries did exist in ireland: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magdalene_Laundries_in_Ireland never heard of it. it just further proves that religion can be cancer, and by today's standards, people in general behaved unacceptably to each other throughout history.

my only takeaway so far is that i love what ruth wilson is doing on the screen. she was good in luther, the affair and she delivers as the traumatized sleepwalker in these series too. other than that, it's a small town murder story, probably nothing to write home about

This. Season 1 felt like a true extension of Game of Thrones. The acting, writing, the sets etc all made it feel special and high quality and played out like a fine wine.

This season feels like a low budget sitcom in comparison. Which is even more shocking because they had 2 years to release it.

Maybe the use of more Dragons used up alot of the budget this season.

And yes the Daemon in Harrenhal stuff could of been done in 5 minutes not 5 episodes and counting.

The Dune world is kinda unique sci fi setting (litterally not space odessey focused but more different fantasy versions of old empires in human history), so will be interesting to see built upon it with prequel like this one.

@Stevie you seen the latest episode of House of Dragon? If not SPOILERS below.

Slow season aside, this dragonseed plot line that was introduced is interesting and kinda hilarious (you either claim a dragon or become a snack for dragon lol).

The difference between the 3 dragonseed bastard that claimed a dragon this episode:

Addam

won Seasmoke with his nobility, honor, and loyalty:

Hugh

won evil Vermithor with his chivalry, bravery, and straight up having huge sets of balls:

Ulf

won over grieving mother Silverwing by being just a silly guy. Personality hire.

Bumbling unwitting fool that stepped on her baby eggs then laid down played dead.

And instantly rewarded by her claiming him and giving him a joyride over King's landing lol

His arc compared to Hughs had me in tears :haha:

Just seen it. Felt more like an episode of Lord of the Rings than anything related to game of thrones.

Really strange vibe to the season. There's only one episode I can think of that felt like the first season or anything from game of thrones. The episode with the rat catchers.

Everything else has felt like such a filler. A full season wasn't needed to get us where we are now in the story.

I do like Hugh and Ulf though but their character building to this point wasnt great. Hopefully they will be used better going forward.

I felt like it was far too obvious re outcomes for Ulf and Viking man (I've never read the books). In GOT I felt like I had an idea what would happen and then the writers would shit all over it with twists. LOTR is a pretty good comparison, maybe ROP.

Sets it up for an episode with action, at least.

The shit show title instantly puts me off, but I'll give anything like this a chance.

It has Anthony Hopkins and is set in Rome. Do we need anything else to try it out? :D

It it did not get good early pre release reviews by critics, but usually don't care for critic reviews. Tho it clearly scathing reviews. But the trailer and the name choice was kinda randomly bad as first impression. It seems like it wants to be Gladiator mixed with Spartacus.
