An episode here and there, my father watched it all, and I just wanted to check how 1917 is now portrayed in Russia. Was not surprised. While fuck bolsheviks, mensheviks, trotskists and other commie scum (and fuck Russians altogether), Trotsky was not a one-dimensional moron, and his wife was not a posh bitch and many many other spoiler things.

Well, im more into bolsheviks. In Kosovo we have a left Party, they claim to be Social-Democrats but friends of mine were deeply involved for some years and it was pure marxist Leninist party. And last year they split up and one historian described it like the conflict between Lenin and Stalin.

Well, watching Russian propaganda series is not the best way to start your journey, though Soviet history written by Soviets is almost one big propaganda story

I guess its not as bad as US propaganda for Soviet.
I watched World War II in colors. It was the most biased documentary every. Every battle allies lost it was due to weather or some natural conditions. It was never because Nazi’s or Japanese were more prepared.

I did about the same. I enjoyed the first episode and then watched a couple more but never really got into it so moved onto something else. Thinking about going back and watching it though.
