Never liked CoD. But I have been playing a lot of BF5 recent weeks. Love it!
I've heard of it before, it should be interesting. Honestly, I need these type of games to be installed on Windows cuz I don't have console. I run them on a server, neither my laptop nor my pc can meet their resource requirements. Now you mention that I will try it if find the installable version on Windows.

I've been playing Reloaded MP. It's fuckin awesome. My only gripe with Reloaded (and this also applies to Gears: Ultimate Edition) is I wish they kept the original aesthetic of the 2006 game. I don't know why they've gone for a "brighter" game. Yes, this objectively looks better, but please bring back the black, dark grittiness. I miss the Gears 1 specific washed-out colour palette coupled with that haze that hangs everywhere.

I hope they get E-Day right.

On a side note, we need "employed-only" lobbies. To enter, you need to present a recent pay slip. Might level the playing field a little  . Working a full-time shift to then go home and jump into a game like that, I can understand why some PlayStation noobs immediately quit.

Atleast 2k does the actual sports gameplay good and realistic.

Its the online fantasy modes and cash grab that sucks.

So 2k would be a huge upgrade on EA, if 2K puts competent attention to the realistic feel of the gameplay as they do in NBA.

Apparently it will be a 2K FIFA game. Although when you see what they release for the NBA every year it's probably nothing to get excited about. But at least when you have two competitors it forces them to keep each other on their toes.
To be fair I can't think of a 2k game that I haven't been impressed by, speaking as someone who has a number of the NBA 2k titles, they're all presented in a realistic way, even their last WWE game had raving reviews following a bad release the year before, that's not to say they don't have faults, I know some of their more open world features in NBA can be buggy as well as the servers being a bit flaky, but then again EA had similar issues too, and I know many dont like the "pay to win" features with buying coins to level up in NBA, personally it has never bothered me as I've never been tempted, also because I never play NBA 2k online.

I guess it's better I don't play with others online anymore, at least if I fuck up it's my fault and not a matter of blaming a team mate or how I believe the game is scripted lol.

But what do I know, I play Genshin Impact most days with Co OP mode disabled, whilst I hear the kid next door smashing up his room because he's having a shit time of it on COD... actually quite satisfying lol.

I play mostly offline so the online modes and the microtransactions and online bugs don't bother me at all.

NBA 2K offline barely changed from 2022 to 2025. I haven't played 26 yet. I agree the gameplay is good and that is most important, but they rolled out literally the same UI for some offline modes for multiple years, and more than once. That for me is unforgiveable for a game that retails for £60 or £70 upon release. I get that they only care about the kids and the extra money, so fuck everyone else, amirite? But yeah, it's better than what EA release because gameplay at least has some tweaks. Some for the better but not all. The graphics are good.

I've also had horrible issues with games crashing once you get quite a few seasons into games, always at the same place. 24 was really bad for this.
