Bologna doesn't want to sell until at least January.

Trust me, I want him more than any other LW that Juve are linked with at the moment, but Bologna isn't selling.
C'mon man, of course they want. They've been negotiating all summer with Roma and us and now all of a sudden they've decided to keep him? They'll sell if we step our game up.

They are looking for at least 15 million for him, and from what I read, they don't want to sell him until January because of their fans.

Bologna vice-president said that Juve were ready to offer players in exchange but Bologna wanted straight cash.
That's what happens when you are dumb enough to sign loan with right to buy for players like Pepe/Motta and get stuck with them.

Hell, sell Bonucci for 8m, Martinez for 6m, Pepe for 8m (rumors from russia to zenit)...that's 3 idiots out and gives us enough money to sign Alex and Gaston plus wages.

Finish those deals then look to seel Janet and Yak...Motta or Grygera. That should give us another 12-14m to dance with.

Bozi, he made some mistakes, but how many times did he mop up the mistakes of his INCREDIBLY weak teammates? The fullbacks? Bonucci? Any of the other mids? Our whole team was one big turnover machine - our possession play was right shit.

I have no idea how you can say Melo "was almost certainly the weakest link in midfield".

He had a better season and was EASILY more important to the team than Aquilani, Marchisio, Pepe, Martinez, Sissoko... if fact, I think the only midfielder we had that could even be in the argument for playing better than Melo was Krasic.

I know that Melo had his fair share of brain cramps, but most of them were from the previous season. Other than the Parma game, which a lot of people feel cost us the season - which is frankly fucking ridiculous - the guys was really solid. Once he was asked to simply protect the back line, and not distribute the ball, he was very effective. Some rash tackles, a few giveaways, but nobody is perfect - especially in that particular Juventus.

The guy only had 6 yellow cards and 1 red card as well - which a lot of people (maybe not you, but a great many) don't seem to realize.

Loaning Melo was sheer idiocy.
Melo is a fucking headcase,HE was one of our weakest links last year QUOTE]

Its strange when I read such completely opposing views to myself, when I assume we have been watching the same games and the same Melo.

Other than Storari last season, Melo was the ONLY player in the squad, who played consistently at a high level. He fucked up in one game. But his disciplinary record was likely not one of the worst in the league, and anyone playing the swashbuckling midfield role is bound to get cards...kicking someone in the face was too much, of course, but i recall zidane performing similarly nasty attacks in his time with us.

Last season, melo was our best player. If you think he was one of our weakest links, how the hell do you judge the rest of the squad????
to make my point clear let me explain,i actually really liked Melo the player but Melo the man...well,we simply could not trust him. Cronios seemed to be making the point that our midfield should be built around him, call em old-fashioned but there is absolutely no way we could have built anything around a man who regularly loses concentration, occasionally attempts to main opponents and often loses complete control of himself.

Melo made 2-3 mistakes in games in a row last season following on from his attempted decapitation of a rival player. he never really recovered and you could see the nervousness in his team-mates,not only because they were playing poorly, but they were not sure at which point this fucking lunatic would snap.......again

put it this way,we all agree that Marchisio is poor, imagine if he had these "brain farts" that Melo had over the last 2 years,do you thunk we would have seen him anywhere near a Juventus jersey ever again?

Melo is a fucking headcase,HE was one of our weakest links last year and on more than one occasion he lost the plot, leaving his team-mates covering for his moments of lunacyi am glad we agree that we need to prioritise our weak links in the team, trust me i do....but for some reason you fail to see that Melo was one of those weak links,in fact because he is such a liability he was almost certainly the weakest link in midfield.
You know, I said pretty much the same thing and got bashed for it. Glad someone else is on the same page...well said.

i nealry flew into a Melo-esque rage last season when people kept making excuses for his "brain farts" and wondered just if any other player would ever get away with that. marchisio played games where he did nothing wrong but got lambasted,Melo has "brain farts" and still gets lauded

the cult of Melo was dangerous and i am glad when we will be rid of it
