Better enough to throw away 25mil and throw 15 more?
And this upgrade was far more necessary than an upgrade of Martinez to a Vidal like level?

This is what i m talking about, priorities!

Here we go. The math genius strikes again. Apparently we lost 40 m on Vidal.

Vidal cost- €10.5M
Melo Loan- -€1.5M
Total Vidal cost- €9m
Total Vidal cost if Melo is sold to Gala - -€4m

We still own Melo, we haven't sold him, hence we haven't made a loss.

So is Vidal better than Melo to the extent that we should make a 4m profit? Yup.

Shut up. We lost 40 million on Vidal without getting any better. And we also lose at least 35 million on Vucinic if we get rid of Amauri.

We didnt make a 1.5 mil just yet, only 0.5 from Melo's loan.
And from his loss, we will make a 6-8mil profit at best, prolly in 3 installments, so we might get 2.5-3.5 mil next year.
Anyways lets say 1.5+7.5=9mil profit in total. 25-9+10= a total loss of 26mil to upgrade from Melo to Vidal.
Was the necessary at this particularly moment???

Even the 10 (10.5-0.5 profit from Melo's loan) mil we commited on Vidal this year, wouldnt be better used on the acquisition of Vargas, Zapata etc??

Is the Martinez-Vidal-Pirlo-Krasic midfield more worthy by 26mil, than the Vargas-Melo-Pirlo-Krasic??

the money we made this season was 0.5
we cannot use the extra million for acquisitions this year, because we didnt got that yet, Galata is not obliged to buy the player anyways, they might as well refuse to buy him and force us to relase him next year like we did with Tiago or sell him off like we did with Almiron.
Atm our profit from this deal is 0.5 and we gave 10.5 mil for Vidal.
So, regarding this year, we have payed 10mil to upgrade from Melo to Vidal, we may lose much more capital next year, but atm we only lose 10mil from the upgrade. We will see next year if galata will give us the other 0.5 and how many more money we will lose from Melo's loss.

Again i ask, is the upgrade worthy of 10mil?
Melo, was a decent player, before we backstabbed him ,he was very loyal to our cause, he was proven in a strong serie A team and the best NT there is.
He was decent were most of our players failed.
Those 10 mil we gave to upgrade to Vidal are a risk that might, or might not pay off, but even if they do pay off, will the degree of overall improval be able to compensate the lack of investment in our problematic positions, like the LW?

I believe that we should priorise the upgrade of the LW and CB first and then if we had the money, i wouldnt mind upgrading from Melo, to Vidal too.
The point is that we could have used the money more wisely, at this certain moment, not the transfer itself.
We have limited money, we cannot afford to waste them for unisignificant or marginal upgrades, when we have players like Martinez as starters!

We back-stabbed him because he was a tempermental money grubbing whore.

And if Gala don't buy Melo, then your argument makes even less sense because he will therefore belong to Juventus, in which case we've lost nothing.

He will be almost out of contract, we lose the player's loyalty and chance to renew his contract and at best, we lose the 10mil we gave for Vidal.
So again the 10mil, at this particular moment,as a tactical loss of available cash, when we have other other needs that should be set as priorities but were sacrificed, stand.
And chances are, that most if not all, of the 25mil investment, we made on Melo, will be lost too, in the future, as a strategical loss of capital. A financial strategy that makes our club smaller season after season, trnasfer failure after failure...

The 25mil for no particularly good reason, is a grave strategical mistake, an avoidable one.
And the 10mil loss of the acute invesment, do not only reflect on the this particular position, but also influence and undermine our chances to improve our problems in other areas, because we now lack the cash to fix them.
This is a double loss, no matter how you see it, that will hurt us both know, if we dont buy a CB+LW and in the future, depending in the money we will lose from Melo's sale/release.

As for his Melo being a mercenary, go back and check his comments after every match, the will to win smth with us, from the first day he joined us reflected on the field and post match comments and the frustration and bitterness for the betrayal from our management in his comments when he realised that he was given the boot...
This is not how betrayl loooks like, look at Zlatan, and Vieira to see how a real mercenary behaves.

He has all the talents to make him a good left wing/forward for a long time..however,its the fact that he would provide fair competition for Pasquato is what i like most..if both are doing well, then Ramirez can even play as the forward in the future..

We hear the same BS for every acquisition of relatively cheap and unknown players we sign...
He is not as proven (and expensive as Vidal and Vucininc are) but he should be given priority, because our best LW was Martinez, while we already had Melo, Pirlo, Marchisio, Iaq, Amauri, Quaq as options for the other 2 positions...
You do realize that he's 20 years old, potentially going to WC player, and has Resale value because of his age.

Do you?
