I wonder why i've brought my parents up in two threads tonight :shifty:

Do you not remember being a teenager? All of the confusion you had, learning your body, social interactions etc. etc. Its the same for all of us, regardless of sexuality. The reason I want to (and I assume my family wanted to) have a child of alternative sexual preference is because I have supported friends through that and seen what they need to get through it and i'd want to be a parent to give them the support they need.
:shifty: Isn't that like a dog chasing its own tail? You wish they were gay so you could be a supportive parent to them in their time of need but in order to give that type of support you need them to be gay. Why not hope for a happy child and support them regardless of and if they do happen to be gay, then give them the extra moral support?

I do, and it was difficult, but I wonder if it wouldn't have been worse had I been gay. But I still can't see how one can wish discrimination on their own children. I understand preferring if a gay child had you as parents, as opposed to others, but not actively wanting your child to be persecuted. I know it's only anecdotal, but I have held my best friend in my arms as she's wept and wished she weren't the way she is, and I do not wish that on anyone, especially my own children.
Why not hope for an even more difficult situation? Your child would need even more support if he was born a cripple, for example.
I guess I live in a different culture where i've never known of that experience. Homophobia is really distant in the culture I grew up in.

Kinda sucks Tywin and Arya are seperate now so no more eclectic dialogue, though I will contend with the awesome Jagen for now :D Can you imagine if Jagen was saved by and owed a debt to Hodor? "You saved a man's life, but a life is owed to the red god. Speak a name and I shall take it." RIP Hodor :(

Yep me too, and too excited siblings have spoiled minor things about him (Something about
Being the faceless man
and Arya to me in passing, apparently also because they are quite dissapointed this series creators are wussying down Arya, omitting out her badass action scenes from the books and so (apparently should have some kickass stuff in past episodes, but also latest one, escape scene was supposed to be her going all Xena lol). But yeah I love how this Jagen character just talks :D

P.S Yeah maybe should clarified joke more clearly, but its the ONLY thing Hordor ever says :D
