Juventus are believed to be monitoring William Gallas and Rio Ferdinand.
Reports emanating from Italy suggest Juventus are considering moves for Chelsea ace Gallas and Manchester United star Ferdinand.
Juve are keen to bolster their backline with Lilian Thuram coming to the end of his career and they are considering possible replacements for the French international.
Gallas has been linked with the Bianconeri for some time as doubts continue to surround his Stamford Bridge future.
The former Marseille man has hinted he could leave Chelsea if he does not win parity with the club's other top earners.
Gallas has 18 months to run on his current deal and he has stalled on talks over extending his deal in West London.
Juve are thought to be waiting in the wings to offer Gallas a route out of Chelsea if he decides to leave, but Blues boss Jose Mourinho is adamant the versatile defender will stay at the Premiership champions.
News of Juve's reported interest in Ferdinand comes as something of a surprise with the former Leeds man pledging his long-term future to United.
Ferdinand after protracted contract negotiations finally signed a new deal in August to keep him at Old Trafford until 2009.
After a shaky start to the season Ferdinand has been back to somewhere near his best in recent weeks and it seems highly unlikely that United would consider any move for the England international should Juve come knocking.
Meanwhile, Gallas believes Chelsea have as good as won the title this season.
Chelsea sit proudly at the top of the table, 11 points clears of their nearest rivals and Gallas does not expect his side to slip up in their bid to retain the championship.
Gallas admitted his side's style is not pretty, but effective and that they only thing that can stop them winning the league is complacency.
"It is very difficult to stop us," Gallas told L'Equipe.
"We don't play great football. The fans are a little scared to see their team concede a goal. But we also have the luck of the champions. We can't deny it.
"But anyway, I feel we can't lose. This season we are very, very strong. We are stronger than last season.
"We know each other much more and we play very, very well together. We want to win every match.
"Chelsea will be champions once again, I am sure. Our most serious adversary is ourselves."
