I like D'Agostino too but I do have my question
he is not what you can call a talented youngster anymore
where has he been over the past, and I don't mean what team?
makes me fear for a one-season wonder
as I read earlier
Udinese rate him at 20 million, as they did with Inler earlier
add to that Quagli, Pepe, DiNatale...
then why did they have a sub-standard season?
with all that supposed talent they finished what? Ninth?
I really wonder if he is worth 20 million or even the 15 million we are offering
I'm not questioning his talent but there must be a reason why he , at his age, isn't playing for a bigger team already

Your avatar is very funny :) i'd prefer dago too cos he is italian, and he has Juve spirit two advantages :)
Dago>melo
EEEEEEEEEEEER, WRONG ANSWER.

The proper answer is: "Melo though somewhat complete two way player, is more of a defensive player (qualities our other midfielders can provide), and even though I rate him highly, but what we need in our midfield is a good regista, playmaker who strings the well needed balls and keeps our play fluid (Melo is a good passer, but not that good). And that D'Agostino is exactly that kind of player, and he is one of the better if not the best option we have in that type of player, especially in regards to ur financial restriction/capability."

See, thats way more sensible then just saying prefer him because he is italian, no? ;)

The proper answer would be...Fuck melo and Dago, buy a decent RB, LB, and CB, leave midfield as it is, wait till january if everything workd properly don't buy any player if we really need a good midfielder, then buy Dago or whoever they think it's good, our main problem is fucking defense

But as a player,Melo is a USS Enterprise comparing D'ago,at least if you saw him play in Fiorentina, where HE dictates the tempo of play, and look at that...plays a deep lying playmaker who, unlike in Brazil NT,can go in attack. Melo or D'ago....Melo anyday
Eh, I still choose D'ago. Here are my reason why (and strictly my opinion, I am in no way attempting to express anyone other than my own opinion. Just want to clarify that before I begin):

1.) D'ago can dictate play by sitting back, no need to push forward
2.) We have Diego/Gio/Camo/Marchsio that can push forward
3.) He has more passes completed and tackles won than Melo. We did not have consistency or fluidity in possession last year, his accuracy will help.
4.) I would rather have Gio/Diego be the ones dictating the tempo knowing that have a great and consistent supply of accurate passing to get them the ball.
5.) Makes much better sense economically.
6.) D'ago is already league proven.
7.) D'ago has already expressed his extreme desire to play here.
7.) No language barrier (not sure how well Melo knows Italian)
8.) I like the idea that he can tackle AND pass...unlike Momo.
9.) Not bad at free kicks if DP is out or tough angle where a left footer is needed.

~For me, D'ago makes more sense especially considering we can't just through out 25m for Melo. Besides, I think D'ago will give us more creativity coming from the back and his passing is fantastic. We need a player that can pass in midfield badly IMO.

We already have plenty players who can pass the ball in midfield badly. ;)
