U could switch Camo with Marchisio..
I think that D'Agostino will be the guy sitting in front of the defense in the diamond formation. Like Pirlo in Milan.
The guy who takes the ball directly from the defenders and organizes the play.

I think it will be more like this:

Diego
Marchisio-Sissoko
D'Agostino

Because Tiago fits better in the new 4-3-1-2 formation than Poulsen. And I like Tiago more than Poulsen and I think Tiago is by far better than the Dane. Tiago played better this season than in his first and he shows some progress while Poulsen played worse the longer the season got..

so does it mean we play with DM AM RM LM or with two CM?
If we play with RM LM could we play with Camo Giovinco on the RM and LM positions and also from when does Marchisio knows how to play RM or LM?
2 CMs, of course. The width will have to be provided by the full backs because we'll play without wingers.

Yup, I was thinking the same, but I just enden throwing in some names there!..

ok now I understand how Marchisio fit in but that mean there is no where for Giovinco unless Diego gets injured or we change formation
Or we play a 4-2-3-1 :p

how good are his defensive skills though
not sure momo is very good on the right, hes got some skill but his passing is very bad, wont even comment about his crossing. i feel that is not his best position

My view is that such a system doesn't rely on Marchisio/ Sissoko's passing skills. They will act as ball winners in the midfield and then give the ball either to D'Agostino behind/next to them or to Diego in front of them.
The passers can then work the magic, sending fullbacks deep or reaching the forwards.

Sissoko's short passes are quite decent I think, and it wouldn't be a problem.

Theonly problem with this formation is that it is dependent on attacking full backs which we don't have.

No man, Sissoko and Marchisio stay in the center. They don't need to make crosses. They keep the same position they had in 4-4-2 when it was :
Camoranesi-Sissoko-Marchisio-Nedved

You know, like Pirlo playing behind Ambrosini and Gattuso. That's D'Agostino playing behind Marchisio and Sissoko. Ambrosini and Gattuso didn't have to put crosses inside the box and neither will Marchisio and Sissoko.

The full backs will cover the sides, with Diego and D'Agostino also moving left and right.
