Lets just see what the team needs and who plays better in the system we use. We shouldn't start Marchisio just because he's Marchisio.
Marchisio is one of my fan favorites on the club. I would love to see him thrive on the team. But too easily, people can get blinded by a player's roots and "potential" versus what we need now and what's realistic for the future.

The next time someone whines because a Juve youth prospect might get traded at age 18, who played all of 10 minutes in a season, I'm going to slap around.

I hope Marchisio develops into a top-notch MF. I think he has the potential. But there's a good reason he hasn't had any adult NT call-ups yet and D'Agostino has. He's just not there yet.

Why do we need to have a definite best XI?

Why not just take it on a game by game basis depending on the opposition and the condition of our players?
I think it goes without saying that players who are in better form should start. And in Marchisio's case, we should trust him and try him out as a starting player, and if he doesn't perform he would them be changed.

I was saying that we should start with those players, and then we will see who performs better as the season goes on.

Pretty much summed my thoughts up. Great minds think alike:)

But we can see Marchisio improving game by game, so because of that I think he should be given a chance in a starting lineup.

Marchisio will be given a chance. Why wouldn't he? Especially if ferrara is coach. If anyone knows what our young potentials are capable of its him. We won't have the same starting lineup every game, everyone will have a chance:). Only certainties in my opinion is buffon and chiellini and probably diego. Everyone else will need to earn their spot. Probably sissoko too, forgot him :p

Anyway, the amount of times we fielded the same pairing in the middle of the park for two straight games was close to none last season and it will surely be the same next year.

But, as Lion suggested, maybe it's Camo who'll be the one having to step aside, the formation with D'Ago, Momo, Marchisio and Diego is a mouthwatering one indeed. It's just unthinkable to me to leave Camo out of any starting eleven.

word, that's why I think Ferrara will opt for straight 4-4-2 and Diego on the left flank acting more as teqratista than winger....

Marchisio and D'Ago will share some minutes as well as Zanetti and Sissoko. Season is long, injuries will come, people will have space to act.....

I feel the same way about Camo, but at the same time.. we haven't had that many games where he was on top of his game, if he was fit to play at all. He's pretty injury prone. A Camo on form should start though, i rate him really highly. If we were to get D'Agostino it would all come down to form / availability on who should start. I'd hate to see Marchisio becoming the victim here though, but I'm sure he's convinced everyone of his abilities by now.

Everyone who cares about Juventus thinks that D'Agostino is a good move except for Cronios.
Cobblers: if one has a differing view on the players needed than the majority, then that person doesn't care!

By the way, I feel that for the money spent on Amauri, he under-achieved. I still want a World Class striker to front Juve, now Trez is coming to the twilight of his career.

I reckon Amauri will pull his weight next year. He will have an easier job aswell.. when you look at what our midfield will look like. I'm not too worried about our strikers..

I guess you think Camo won`t get injured this year and Sissoko would never get any cards as for D`Agostino he is untouchable so no one could hit him

Come on D`Agostino won`t play all matches the same can be said for Sissoko and especially Camoranesi so I think there would be lots of space for Marchisio
I`m only worried about Giovinco
I hope that Camo will have less injury and mentality issues this season.
I am confident that Poulsen and CZ can be decent subs if needed.

But i hope that Sissoko wont miss absolutely no game, because we can tell for certainty that we dont have a player to replace his defensive solidarity in our squad.
Camo and Poulsen cant pass, but they cant defend as well.
We have seen this by the end of the year and with a one midfielder less to defend (Diego) this issue will become more obvious the coming season...

I m just very sorry that we dodnt show any kind of respect and belief to our most promising youngsters... Dagostino is here to replace Marchisio's place in our team and take his starter place...

Having Marchisio, CZ and Poulsen as subs, we can now off load permanently both Almiron and Tiago. There is absolutely no room for them left in our squad.
I can only hope that they will produce some funds, that will be used to defensive replacements. And that Dagostino didnt absorv the last of our transfer budget...

He is a useful tool, i wish him that he will repeat his magnificent season with us
and he wont become a new Poulsen, or even worse, an Almiron/Tiago...

I hope that we will not regret, once again, our choice not to upgrade our defense and rather add some more depth to our midfield...

We have Del Piero whether you like it or not.

Cronios, we will probably add another defender to the team. Lets just hope it's a good right back. Once mid-August comes around and the only addition at the back we've made is Cannavaro, then we'll give them hell.

I am 100% with you. A RB should be purchased. And you know what? I think they will get us one. Even if it were Zuniga, Zebina showed something nice in the last game. And if Zuniga turns out to be good, then we have a good starter and a good back up.

I think camo will find it tough to stay healthy all season but if he isn't then d'ago is a go for the starting eleven.

Otherwise I see marchisio/d'ago competing for spots if camo is fit and sissoko too. But if d'ago is successful linking defense and offense, something our mids couldn't do then he might be starting. Also linking up diego will be critical.

Anyone with brains knows that our midfield was transparent last year when trying to build up the attack cuz our defense just played long balls with not immediate options in front of them bypassing the mids. D'ago will be able to sit back and just deliver balls on a silver platter to those that can score along with diego too. He would have great cover with momo and marchisio with a solid back spine behind him to play his game. I really like this move because we can play so many versatile formations. Pretty much for whatever any given game calls for. Let's make this deal:weee:
That argument has pretty much sold me. Let's sign him.
