Buffon

RB - Cannavaro - Chiellini - Criscito

Marchisio - D'Agostino - Momo

Diego

Amauri - Del Piero
QUOTE]

There's no pace in this team and nothing on the wings. In the modern game where pace and power are so important we would be slow and with no width. Without nedved, we need to put a lot of faith in giovinco on the wing a potentially sign an attacking full-back or another winger. D'Agostino would be a solid signing but he needs, as the team would, some pace on the wings to pass to and carry the ball.

Diego and Giovinco would be fine as they move the ball quick and can beat their man.

I am not sure selling Zebina is smart as we dont have cover other than Grygera. and Zebina when in form is better than Grygera.
This is a bit of a tough choice. Not much between the two, Zebina is marginally better, but always hurt, and at times his attitude can be an issue. Grygera is a couple years younger, but not improving - we know what we've got, and IMO age is not a factor in this equation. Basically, if we're going to buy a proper RB, this almost comes down to moving whichever player we can get a better deal for.

Edit: I think in the end, I'd probably opt for keeping ZG. He tends to be pretty healthy... I also think that a lot of his glaring errors we're due to our super high D line - the man blew a TON of traps.

Unfortunately, he also loses his mark quite often in the box... this is a tough call.

I think D' Agostiono's signing wont mean we will not get defenders I think it just means we will lose some mids (Tiago .. maybe Poulsen) later in the summer and he will be thir replacement. We are being heavily linked with fullbacks in the media so I am sure we are bound to get some.
It sure as fuck better not mean we don't continue to improve the D. I know there are a couple promising youngsters on the way, but this D needs to get sorted right now.

I can't see Poulsen moving (nor would I suggest it, as he never really had a proper opportunity to prove himself and I think he'll be a pretty good backup to Momo), but what about Marchionni? Tiago, Marco, Almiron, and one of the RB's - I think that these should be the prime candidates to leave.

If we can end our summer with: Diego, Cannavaro, D'Agostino, Criscito and a good RB then I would be very happy.
Hell's yes, so would I. Especially if that's a VERY good RB and Trez stays...

Valid point on Grygera. I think the high defensive line also hurt Leggro alot as he looks much better when further back. Even Chiellini was exposed for a lack of pace. Zebina has hardly been worth his salary over the last 2 years given his injuries but I would only sell after we buy a new RB.

Look, we bought Diego. If you're looking for pace and power on the wings, then we're going to have to bench a forward and use the 4-2-3-1. That's it. Goodbye Del Piero. Diego isn't playing as a friggin' winger.

And people are forgetting that pace and power can be owned by good possession football. Barca just beat Manure doing it, Milan beat Liverpool and Manure using it when they won a few years ago, et cetera.

We don't have the players to play like an EPL team, so why the hell do it?

I'm down with D'Agostino. If we get him our midfield is gonna be pretty damn strong next season.
word, he is quality. Offtopic: real will most likely have this upfront next season:

Huntelaar-Lavezzi/Villa
Kaká

Some sick shit...

if we buy D'agostino
we have allot of midfielders

Sissoko
Marchisio
Tiago
Poulsen
Zannetti

get rid of poulsen and tiago and from that money buy a defender :D.

but i think Marchisio deserves a first team spot next to Sissoko
he's gonna develope into a key player
