I still having trouble to understand how our mid is going to be as Sissoko would be 1st choice and so will Diego
now we have 4 other players: Camo Marchisio and Sissoko and lets say we sign D`Agostino
Sissoko would play as he is the best defensive player we have got
I guess we aren`t going to spend high on a sub so that means D`Ago starts which leave Camo and Marchisio fighting for a spot
Camo is a creative player who can help dictating play while Marchisio is better defensively and has a better movement
If we were a season ago I would say Marchisio is going to be a top sub and could rotate with him a lot
but after the last season I`m not sure he is going to be a sub
Well basically diversity is what we aim for our midfield. We are JUVE..we will rotate mate!

Sorry, I mean that Giovinco doesnt compete with Zanetti, Agostino is a regista, more of a pure one then Zanetti, who is a mix with DM and regista. But what I meant to say is that saying Gaetano competes with Gio for a spot, is like saying Zanetti competes with Gio for a spot, which is just plain clueless.
Now I get it

Healthy rotation, formation changing and opponent adaptation/anticipation is the solution to your dilemma.
Exactly.

People are obsessed with having a definite first XI and a pecking order of subs, but we have seen over the last year how rarely your best XI will be available.

With two games a week and a more tactically flexible coach (hopefully), there will be plenty of playing time for a lot of players.

As long as we already have a decent sub for every other position, upgrading is not a priority! The midfield is still stacked up with Poulsen, Tiago and CZ as valid alternatives, dont forget that...

When Poulsen leaves and Dago joins, we will be balanced, number wise. But the tactical option to field two DMs wont be there anymore.
I wonder if we are waiting to secure some extra funds before we go for Dago's acquisition, or we are waiting to seal him, before we sell out Poulsen/Tiago

A midfield of Momo and Marchisio anchored in front of the defence, with D'Agostino in between them roaming forward and dictating play, and Diego in front of them behind any two of our forwards...looks on paper, and in my mind, beautiful.

Momo D'Agostino Marchisio
Diego

Lets add in Grosso at left back and Chiellini and Canna in the middle...then all we need is a decent right back, capable of both defending AND marauding up the right flank, and we are much improved over the team of last season.

I am sure that Diego is going to play whenever fit and eligible. My only reservations are for Giovinco. Surely after his impressive showing in the EUROs Ciro is going to give him more of a shot in attack this season, hopefully sharing a spot with Del Piero...

but this thread isnt about la formica atomica, its about Gaetano...and so I will finish by asking:>

If co ownership deals need to be finalised by the end of this coming friday, and the D'agostino deal is set to include co-ownership deals, can we assume that everything will be sorted by the end of this week?

The idea of offering half of Marchisio or/and Giovinco, even with them remaining at our club, is stupid. And if we all see it as stupid, I am sure Ciro will feel the same. A top club does not sell any of the rights to two of its brighest talents...

It would be crazy not to utilize Marchisio's offensive game. Formation is sick but I would organize it just like italy played yesterday. Luca Cigarini(D'Ago) would be deep playmaker, not to roam in offense(where Diego will be) and Sissoko and Claudio exchanging in sudden forward runs and caught an opponent in surprise. They did that well this season IMO.....

HUH?

Now you are calling for substitutes for every position?

I am now very convinced about you.

how is that? last time they sent him back to Bari, who were in Serie B
Yes though his had a mixed season, IMO the kid still has plenty of potential. I wouldnt wanna put any of our young talent going in the opposite direction to udine, only for us to buy them back five times the price. Conte still highly rates him, let him gain more experience and hopefully we can buy our other half back.

Oh! You are also one of those against the D' Agostino move....

FORZA D' AGOSTINO TO JUVE!!!!!!!!!!
 I aint against it, at the same time I aint for it.. everything has a price, I just think udinese are asking for too much and its not worth bantering over. Im pro D'ago move if the price is right.

Lanza to Udinese for D' Ago is a right price.
Sure... like thats ever going to be accepted. Dont get me wrong i was expecting a huge sum + lanza maybe + de ceglie. Either way for me Udine are way too cocky, we should stick to our guns and not get all hasty.
