Yeah but £14m is too much imo.

I'd say D'Agostino's price should be AT MOST what we paid for Tiago in 2007, around 13-14m EUR (not pound). Tiago was 26 and he already had lots of experience playing for Portugal, Lyon, Chelsea where he was solid or even very good.
Next season D'Agostino might play just as well as he played this year, or even better, but one very good season in Udinese does not make the price of a 27 year old midfielder higher than 13-14m eur.
Like Sissoko who was bought for 11-12m eur or Tiago for ~13m eur. It was realistic price at the time.

Imo something between 8 and 12 mil euro is realistic for D'Agostino.
I certainly wouldn't pay £14m in cash, but if we were to give them close to that value made up of cash + players we don't really need/want (Almiron, Marchionni, Paolucci, Lanzafame, even half of De Ceglie) I wouldn't really complain.

Sooner or later, if we don't become a bit more assertive about landing this player - almost certainly by offering more cash defrayed by the sale proceeds (in due course) of someone like Almiron/Tiago etc - the chance of acquiring one of the best midfield talents in Italy will be gone.

I'd reiterate €12.5m + Paolucci and 50% of DC.

What a ridiculous thing to say. Look how much more money they have to spend than us. They don't need add players to bring down the price, they can just hand down a check.

and im sure if we waved 80 million pounds in Udinese's face, they would make the happen.

I'm very happy with what the club have done so far...we are making smart purchases and this is what the club has always done.

D'Agostino would complete the starting midfield but i dont think the club should just jump and pay an amount if he is not worth it.

I would still like to see the club be a little more ambitous and ask for Zapata in the deal also. If we could get that over the line which would be difficult, but still very possible, then it would be Criscito and a RB which complete the team overall.
