He is a different player. D'Agostino is a deep lying playmaker, while Melo is more of a ball winning midfielder. Melo is the better player because he is better at what he does. Regardless of his poor start and less than impressive form with Juve, he obviously is good enough for most of Europes biggest teams. Something that cannot be said about D'Agostino.
Completely dependent on the needs of a team, wether he is good enough or not.

I think that bringing in D'Agostino will increase the creativity of Diego.
If you can create a midfield to play Diego, D'Agostino, Melo, Momo and Marchisio I would really like it very much..

completely dependent on if the team WORKS ...

d'agostino would utterly fail here, because he would have no one to make his one-touch passes to if no one is making intelligent runs ... (or he would have to play to caceres all the time, because thats the only one pushing up on a counter)

Yeah, D'Agostino would have the big issue Pirlo had in Milan last years, no movement around him whatsoever, just dwelling on the ball accomplishing nothing. In Udinese, they have a pretty mobile attacking trio who run deep the second he gets the ball.

For comparison, imagine what Diego had to put up with in Milan game, every time he had the ball higher up, the last thing Amauri considered to do was run deep or forward, he just stuck to the opposition, like he is marking them, instead of getting marked.

Must be nice to have midfielders that can pass. Good business for Viola if they get him. We may as well close this and the kolarov threads.

Ok so we don't get our original choice for CM even though he was cheaper than they guy we ended up getting. He's a better passer too. So, we lost our other good passer of the ball in Zanetti to them along with Marchionni and 19m. And now, now they're going to snap up D'Ago for probably a lot less than 19m.

Something just doesn't seem right here...

Secco isn't right .. If we had someone who could do a tenth of what corvino pulled Juventus would be a happier place.

Players perform better with la viola than with us. The pressure exerted on any new player is immense. Wait and see.. even molinaro will be better than when we had him.

Yeah, Tiago will be in full form when he begins again. Man, I am so frustrated today with this freaking mercato. D'ago to another team for a fraction of the cost when we don't have anyone in midfield that can actually pass.
