Marrone has done well, he shows potential and does everything Pazienza does equally. The only difference is that Paz has been given more time.

I would SO MUCH rather lose Paz and open up his spot for another midfielder that is better.

Not sure why there comparison anyways, besides being too soon, its hardly for the same role. Marrone is fine with being outside ze bench and watch for his chance most of the time.

While someone like Guarin, with such investment, would compete for a starting spot, would be deemed failure if he was outside the match squad majority of the time like Marrone is (and like Elia is...).

Agreed, but thats not the bit I replied to, difference between getting rid of someone like Pazienza to keep Marrone as fringe player, or to not sign a potential starter/rotational player in Guarin, for his sake.

Answer to your question: Yes, I do think he has shown enough to stay, but to ship off the average 29 year old pazienza instead and bring in a quality CM (while keeping marrone).

Lets say we get Pizarro or Guarin: Marrone would have the PERFECT set of stars around him to learn from and play alongside every day in training, learning CONTE'S tactics and grow into the team.

Really shouldn't be that complicating. Paz was just a free bie squad filler, nothing more. Marrone is one for the future, Paz is not.
