The thing we're missing is ideas in attack. Once Bremer is back our defence is good enough to push for scudetto even with the losers we're saddled with now. Most Serie A teams sit back against us anyway so we don't need too much in that department.

The fact is it's 2025 and Serie A defences are too well set up for us to pepper hopeful cross after hopeful cross. I honestly can't tell if it's more the players or the manager. I suspect both, but this means both need fixed. Easier and cheaper to start with the manager. We're just so stale going forward from the first minute to the last.

I don't even want us to play samba football or anything I just want us to look like a well-organised, dangerous team causing problems for opposition across the pitch.

I fully agree with this. Modern football is all about chance creation, and that starts with winning the midfield battles.

There aren't any decent defenders anymore - it's just vibe defending. There's no point wasting any more money in this department.

You could also say strikers are no longer clinical in today's game. Gone are the days of your #9 only needing one or two chances to resolve a match. Now, these forwards require a fuck-ton of chances just to get on the scoresheet.

It's embarrassing to watch our players look visibly stunned when the opposition decides to attack (and actually score).

We have a ton of promising youngsters and there are some very good Italian players like tonali and Verrati to name a few. Teams need to actually dedicate themselves to investing and playing them so they can grow
The number of Italian talents or quality players is less than the fingers of one hand. That is why Italy has been absent from two consecutive World Cups. In the last decade, Italy has rarely produced promising and quality players.

Man casually drops Verratti's name like it's 2015 or something. That semi-retired Koala vulture hybrid plays for some Qatari team ffs.

Tuz muppets like AC are just as hysterical and delusional as our current management who think your Retegui's and Lucca's are answers to our offensive problems.

Inter is the last Italian team that won the CL, and their starting eleven in the final did not play a single Italian player. I am a big fan of Italy, not just football, I always admire Italy for its glorious history, rich culture, cuisine, cinema, modeling, music, everything. But the current situation in Italian football is terrible. Italy is nothing like it was 20 years ago

Inter is also the last italian team to reach the CL final a couple of years ago and did it with (i guess) 4 Italians in the starting lineup.

Its certainly not what it used to be, but a solid local core is always good and part of our identity.

Anyway the best choice for us is so obviously Conte. Same as it was last summer.

Its amazing that Italy failed to generate great players like Baggio Del Piero and Totti to Immobile Insigne and now Retegui..
