No I'm trying to figure out why he was so convinced he can fix it and think he had the time and backing. I mean even Allegri thought he could. Sarri said the players were untrainable, which was an honest assessment even though that says a lot about him. Some managers really do look worried, but him leaving bitter and knowing how our management work, makes me think the answers in the middle.

On a separate note though, I've always said this, I think he's a good manager for a club like bologna with low expectations. He's just not made or experienced enough yet for a big club.

In my opinion the most obvious as well as safest temporary choice would be Igor Tudor at this stage, put him interim till summer and see how it goes, if he turns it around and shows progress then we can potentially consider giving him the full next season, otherwise we’ll at least have more time to evaluate and plan things come summer to see who else is available.

He was always the best option for a temporary fix, just as many others had been advocating for a while now.

Almost can’t believe that the management actually applied some common sense and took the correct decision in regards to this mess, would’ve been way too risky to commit long term with anyone at this stage.

There is something worth considering though. He could get us that 4th place but not really inspire anything that shows we are on the right path - What should we do in that case? Hire a new coach or give him another season?
