I find it refreshing getting a coach with experience and suitable for the Serie A. He doesn't have the language problem, I like the 4-2-3-1, he's got a CL, won with Valencia...I think it's a very good choice if you look at who would be available.

Marotta has some credibility around the league. He knows his football and surrounds himself with the right people which is very important because he relies on them for the mercato also.

Now that this is settled, bring on the right players and let's rock n' roll!!! :mark:
Thanks for responding, mate. I believe in you, so must now believe in Rafa...As long as Marotta comes with him, I can't wait for the Summer, when the renovation and revolution can truly begin.

I say we should give Rafa our all and support him comming, what is the alternative?
another gamble on a young coach who has it all to prove or a coach who has won it all but is clearly a has-been, closer to full-scale senility then to a next trophy?

How did you come to a conclusion that Benitez is a has-been?

I'm optimistic about Benitez..

Capello, Hiddink, Mourinho, Ferguson are the only ones I would are better for sure.

Lippi, Wenger, Pellegrini i regard as beeing same same.

Prandelli is way below, Allegri cannot even been compared. Lets hope this happens, because if it does not, I dont we're going to be cheerfull of the result

Meh, I still hope if and when Mourinho goes to Madrid we can get Pellegrini.
I would not mind Pellegrini at all, but I don't think we can afford to sit idle until real acts. We might have no choice left other than Allegri.

And Benitez speaks italian, that is an advantage I think. He can almost whine as much as Mourinho and he is used to deal with injuries :snoop:

What would Pellegrini do with all our DMs? He used to play with only OMs. He spend the first three months pinching his arm and recounting the dms.

if we sign rafa i will probably hang myself. I recon steve mcclaren might be worth a look in a seasons time if he can do as well next season as he this then he could be the right thing for us!
