I am doubtful about the transfer policy of Liverpool as well somehow. But then when you think about F.Torres, X.Alonso, Mascherano, Luis Garcia I think the gain in value from these players can cover most of the losses they made in "Cisse,Luis Garcia,Morientes,Nunez,Alou Diarra,Zenden,Crouch,Bellamy,Pennant,Dossena,Babel,Sissoko,Keane".
I didn't know the exact transfer fees of those but for example, the value of Torres may have gained more than 30-40M in the last 2 seasons? he bought Xabi for around 10m and sold him to RM for 30. And the important goals by Luis Garcia in the CL's are just priceless.
You're right that he has picked some overrated players but there are good ones as well. So I would rather give a neutral to their transfers.
And actually we are not even sure who will take charge of the transfer market when he joins us.
Benitez has wasted money on some pretty average players over the years,Yes.No is doubting that.A lot of players that you mentioned in that list were given a proper chance,but they never fired.He has had to play players out of position,like drifting Gerrard to the right etc.But that does not make him a bad manager.
Being a poor transfer-man is a valid argument against him,but what people ignore is the fact that HE had control over who he wanted in England.In the EPL,the coach decides who he wants etc.In the Serie A,it's different.It's the board that does so.Benitez won't have so much liberty as he did at Liverpool,so the chances of poor players being signed would come down.

I`m not a big fan of Benitez but to be honest I`m not a fan of Prandelli eigther I don`t think he has done a great job with Fiorentina infact I think he got them where they should be

Blanc has transformed a team that used to finish between 12th to 6th into a consistent title contender. In his first season with the club, they didn't even ask him to challenge for the title, they were hoping for UEFA Cup qualification, but he was the first to challenge Lyon until the last round. In his first season he got 2nd place only 4 points behind Lyon. His second season he won he league, now its his third season at the club, and barring any surprises it looks like he's going to win the league again and he might go far in the CL too.
I think Blanc has proven his credentials already, his team has been on a steady improvement ever since he took over. He is a tactically accomplished coach that is really good at building successful effiecient teams. The tactical setup he uses at Bordeaux which is a 4-2-3-1 that becomes a 4-1-3-2 during the match has proven to be really effective.
Brilliant coach if you ask me, he is definitely worthy of a big club.

i'd like blanc very much. but i don't think there is any possibility we sign him right now. so prandelli would be the best solution. the guy can take the 100% from each player. additionally he has a very good eye for young players. i wouldn't want rafa. he is good as a coach but he sings a lot of players that are not great.
I think we'd be handed a long term coach in either case of Benitez and Prandelli. And if Gio does not play for one of them, then I accept he isn't good enoug.

That's the reason I voted for him ahead of Benitez. I didn't watch Bordeaux before this season but I tried to follow them more, and I did, this year.

Building a team and doing good with it can sometimes be a fluke, but the way he controls his team during the match and makes the changes depending on what's happening on the pitch isn't a fluke. It tells that the man knows what he's doing.
Another thing that I noticed about Bordeaux is that their play is a mixture of a solid but boring Chelsea or Capello's Juve, with the complete opposite of it - this so called modern attacking football. He created a team that can adapt to different situations and that's why I'd like to see such a coach here. What happened in Italy in the last 4-5 years shows that a different kind of football is winning in Italy than the one winning in CL. In Bordeaux I see both these kinds of football and I believe that it's Blanc's touch.

Trezeguet, Camoranesi, Cannavaro, Grosso, Del Piero, Zebina, Legrottaglie. If in two summers we replace all of them, with at least half of them leaving this summer, then we're on our way to successfully build for the future.

Very true. Blanc is indeed a very adaptive coach, he really is showing signs of developing into a top coach sometime in the future.
Blanc likes his players versatile, and even though Camo might be ageing, i think if Blanc were to coach Juve and use his 4-2-3-1 cum 4-3-1-2 formation, he'd want Camo in the team. Because when he uses this formation he wants one of the wingers to be a winger cum striker(Goufran in their case) and the other to be a winger cum central midfielder(Wendel in their case). Camo being able to alternate between playing both CM and on the right wing will make him perfect for Blanc's tactical setup. Either that, or he'd use Marchisio in that role(but on the left), as he has been played on the left a number of times this season.
Another plus is that if Juve were to bring Blanc, Juventus's players already have played both the 4-3-1-2 and the 4-2-3-1 systems this season, so Blanc isn't going to need to make the players adapt to a completely new system.
