What does this new era stand for? Being young?

Prandelli is a good coach and has done some good things with Fiorentina.
Same thing goes to Allegri. Tactical, ambitious, brings out the best in a lot of players. Cossu, Jeda, Matri, Canini, Marchetti, Ariaudo, all have had some of their best career moments under him. And plays an attacking 4-3-1-2 :)D).

Different style of football. Faster football. Prandelli is playing dull, like any other Italian coach.

when prandelli took over Fiorentina, they were relegation strugglers.
So were Roma, they were bloody awful with Spalletti but then Ranieri took over.

I thought he's the one who represents the new era of Italian football.
I don't think so. But maybe I'm wrong.

If we get a younger coach then our 'old guard' need to be got rid off except Buffon and Del Piero, I'd rather he construct his own team without the pressure of our more experienced players demanding to play.

Roma were never relegation strugglers at least in the past 12 years. I didn't mean Prandelli took over Fiorentina when they were at the bottom of the table, I meant Fiorentina's objectives were to ensure Serie A football.

Prandelli fields a 4-2-3-1 formation, if I'm not mistaken, not too many Italian tacticians use it and if they do they don't get it right most of the time.

IMO, going for Allegri will be another mistake, he has no continental experience unlike Prandelli who has done really good in CL this season.

If it's going to be an Italian tactician, no one is better than Prandelli at the moment excluding Capello of course. But I'm sure our management will not go for a high earner next season especially that we're not getting 4th spot this season. I hope Corvino will join Prandelli as well, but I'm sure Prandelli will be a success with or without Corvino.

    2. Puel
    3. Blanc
    4. Deschamps
    5. Benetiz

Why would a sane person pick Allegri over Benitez?
He has shown promise. is italian. Out of work and knows the italian game far more intimately than benitez. He also has form for getting the optimum output out of players. true enough cagilari have faded quite dramatically in the second half of the season, but still, with the players available to him...to me, he has done a better job this season than benitez has done at Liverpool. Liverpool are massively dependent on Torres, and Gerrard. Without them, Benitez has no smart ideas...9th place with a very weak cagliari team, then another solid showing this season. Indeed, for me, he seems a better choice than Benitez, who has form for failing to make more than one decent challenge for the domestic league in england, despite spending hugely on more often than not, quite poor players. Also...I simply don't like the guy. Too easy to wind up, too unwilling to accept his own mistakes, and far from a natural leader.

This is not about how highly I rate Allegri, its about my lack of value and respect for Benitez.

My choices would be...Capello...Hitzfeld...Prandelli...Gasperini...Advocaat...Blanc...Deschamps. Not in any particular order.

Instead of writing all of that, just say you hate Benitez in the future. That's all you needed to say.

I personally can't wait until we get Allegri and have a similar season to this one.

Your english skills are once again letting you down, when involving yourself in a discussion presented in english.

The obvious point of writing reasons other than my personal dislike of bentiez, for my lack of eagerness for his arrival at our club, is to show that there is far more than simply my personal dislike of benitez behind my lack of eagerness for his arrival at our club...I trust that will be simple enough, basic enough, for you to understand as a solid argument, based on more than purely personal opinion of who i perceive him to be as a man, not a manager.
